Before starting her career as an Interior Designer, Madeleine worked as a finishing carpenter on commercial and high-end residential projects, building a knowledge base of how each elements of construction work together.

In 2020, Level One of Vancouver completely renovated our Burnaby apartment. Tyler Bouchard of Madeleine Design Group was responsible for the interior design. I was living in Toronto during the renovation and, because of the pandemic, Tyler and I communicated exclusively by telephone and internet. Tyler was always easy to reach and pleasant to talk with. We used Madeleine Design Group as the designer for a major home renovation of our 3 bed, 3 bath condo in 2020-21. It took my wife and I a few years to decide on renovating our apartment. It was one of those situations where the apartment was aging, but everything was still functional. Initially we thought of only renovating the bathrooms, then we included the kitchen. One thing led to another and we decided to renovate the whole apartment. Madeleine and Carol did an incredible job of designing our renovation. We are so glad we hired them compared to past work we designed ourselves and regretted for years.They designed the most beautiful kitchen and bathroom for our renovation that fits who we are as well as helped with overall colours for the interior and exterior of our whole house. Working with Madeleine and Carol was a great experience! They are creative, organized and thorough with great attention to detail. They came up with a plan for our first floor that encompassed what we wanted ensuing that all of the fixtures, finishes, colours and flooring coordinate to create a great flow in the space. It took several tries to find the perfect dining room chandelier, however, there was never any pressure to move forward with something that wasn’t quite right. We highly recommend the Madeleine Design Group!

We decided to renovate my childhood home in Vancouver. I was always afraid that a renovation wouldn't be able to provide our family with what we wanted and needed, but Madeleine Design Group came up with a design that exceeded our expectations. In all honesty, we weren’t entirely sure what an interior designer’s job entailed. We knew it was different than an interior decorator’s job and it involved planning out what a home’s space might look like, but we had no idea it involved the million other things (big and small) that one has to deal with when renovating one’s home. Madeleine and her team were there every step of the way. There is absolutely no way our home would have turned out the way it did (beautiful and completely what we were hoping for) without them.
