At the start, the company had a focus on the logging industry; however, it was soon clear that the company's future lay in road construction, aggregates and asphalt production. In 1971, Bruce Evans purchased the company and started it on a path of expansion that would lead to the Fowler Construction that most people recognize today.

We are the largest hot-mix asphalt producer and supplier in the Parry Sound, Muskoka and Haliburton region. When making our asphalt, we always use premium aggregates from our own quarries-just one of the many business advantages enjoyed by our customers. Fowler is a long-standing member of the Ontario Road Builders' Association and Ontario Asphalt Pavement Council and a primary supplier of asphalt and paving services to the MTO.
