A: Buildings tend to shift and settle over time. Wood tends to expand during humid weather, and contract during dry weather. Because of this, the lock's latch and its corresponding strike plate become out of alignment and need to be adjusted. A: No! Too much force on a key will likely cause it to break off inside the lock.

If you are looking for costumer service please go else where. Mark, who claims to be the owner, felt it was best to hang up on us. We have always dealt with active but after dealing with Mark, I see no reason to continue business if this is direction Mark is taking it.

Lost spare car key and ignition key can't open door; so, very bad luck if battery flat.
They were able to cut a key that works for door, ignition and glovebox from the VIN. Not cheap and they need a day to contact the dealer, but much better than always having to leave the hood unlatched.

I bought a great used vehicle but unfortunately it only came with one ignition key. Active lock and safe tried to clone it but didn’t have the right product but that didn’t stop them! After promising to contact me in a few weeks with a New cloning product they were able to clone a new ignition key for me. Problem solved and with zero hassle. Thanks Active lock and safe. Big shout out to the very helpful staff at Active Lock & Safe! I had a problem with the ignition key sticking in my son's car. Turns out, while we could get the key to work with a bit of giggling - It was the wrong key. They were able to use their special equipment to get the right key cut.
