Services
Founding owners Sheila Marsh and Bill Blair began to craft and supply stained glass pieces from The Glass House's original location at 85 Princess Street in beautiful downtown Kingston. As one of the few businesses of this type in Canada, their creations were shipped all over North America. Sheila retired in 1999 and sold the business to Lynda and Craig MacRae.
We carry a large selection of stained glass by various manufacturers including Spectrum, Wissmach, Kokomo, Uroboros and Bullseye glass companies. We purchase glass regularly and if we do not have it in our current stock; we will do our best to order it in for you. We also carry a large assortment of glass cutters, pliers, grinders, mosaic cutters, copper foils, lead, solder, chemicals, stock bevels, bevel clusters, jewels, books and more!
Students will cut out and construct a stained glass box using stained glass, mirror, bevels and hinges. All materials required. This is a course for individuals who have worked in the copper foil technique and are looking for guidance with. This is a course for individuals with at least basic previous experience with cutting, foiling and soldering stained glass.

A great experience! I am a brand new to stained glass art and didnt know how to get started. My husband and I dropped in and by the time we left, I had all that I needed and not more than I needed. I was given instruction on each piece of equipment and even a quick cutting lesson. I was encouraged to call or email with any questions. I highly recommend Lynda and The glass house!

I am a novice at stained glass and took on a huge mosaic window project. I found all the materials I needed at The Glass House, but the best part was all the practical advice they happily shared with me from the moment I walked into the store. More than a few phone calls were made over the course of the 5 months it took me to complete the project and my questions were always fully answered cheerfully. Great supplies and wonderfully supportive staff. Thanks!
