Counter Effects has been custom fabricating Laminate Countertops since 1988. With hundreds of colours and options to choose from, we are sure to make your counters truly unique to you. Whether you are building a new home or looking to re-model, laminate countertops can be a budget friendly option for your kitchen, Bathroom or office.
Solid surface is an acrylic surface which is both versatile and durable. It can be fabricated to fit any design. This product is solid throughout and can withstand most of the challenges of daily use. What makes this a unique choice is that there are no seams as with laminates and stone surfaces. It can be easily refinished to its original appearance if it is nicked, cut, marred or scratched.
Quartz is one of nature's hardest materials. By combining various types, sizes and colours of quartz with premium quality polymers and pigment, you are able to create a non-porous surface which requires no sealing. This surface is more durable than granite, and provides a new way to have the look of natural stone, while maintaining heat resistance, stain resistance and is easy to maintain.
In most cases, a simple solution of warm water and liquid dish detergent is all that should be required to maintain your laminate countertops. Give them a quick daily wipe down after you finish the dishes. Most stains are easily removed with a non-abrasive household cleaner (such as Fantastik, Glass Plus or Windex).
We warrant our countertops to be free from defects in workmanship and/or material under normal uses and conditions for a period of two(2) years from the date of purchase. This warranty does not include labour to remove or replace defective parts nor does it apply to countertops which have been subject to abuse, misuse, alterations, water damage at seams, improper storage, handling or installation.

We were looking for a countertop for the bar top we put into the wall between the kitchen & living room. We had no idea what we were looking for, but we were recommended Counter Effects by a few people in the area. They had a great selection to choose from and we ended up picking out a leftover piece of quartz. They came not too long after to our house to measure everything out and then within two weeks from that point, we had the countertop installed. Our only "complaint" if you will would be that there was a bit of lack of communication throughout our experience. We were told we had to pick out

We were very happy with our quartz counter top but after insulation we noticed one end of the counter didn't have the same edge we had picked out. We called immediately but they didn't seem to care. Thankfully it's not noticeable since it's on the end.
Never got a thank you card to express thanks for our purchase. I'm kinda old fashioned to think when someone spends thousands of dollars at your business a card of thanks would be good business follow up.

The 45 degree seam in our counterrtop is swelling and lifting. I contacted via email, and received a response from the President blowing me off and telling me it's not their problem. 6 months old countertop and needs to be replaced...I should have went to "The Top Shop" instead.
I'm not sure why the review above is 4 stars considering the edge profile was wrong. That's a deal breaker.
