In 1968, Bill Robertson borrowed from his kids' piggy bank to buy a business license and start Robertson Electric Company. He based that business on providing excellent, professional service at a reasonable rate. I needed a residential electrical repair which turned out to be a bad outlet. Fitch Electric stood me up even though I had been told the repair tech was on his way to my house next. The second appt was cancelled the afternoon of service with reschedule once again 10+ days out. Robertson Electric fitted me in with an OT visit after the second cancellation. The tech was very knowledgeable and quickly honed in on the problem, which he promptly fixed. I'll only call Robertson in the future.

They guy they sent to my house to perform some electrical work. He was at my house 2 hours. The labor rate I was billed was $177.00 an hour and that was after a coupon. They obviously think highly of themselves to charge this rate. Highway robbery…. I only post this because I have no intention on ever using them going forward. I only post this to maybe prevent another family with children to not be taken advance of. Especially around the holidays like we were.

UPDATE - After communicating with the company, they reduced their fee which I appreciate. I have used Robertson Electric since 2006 and they've always done good work; this is the first issue I’ve ever had.
The tech was responsive and communicative and told me the pricing as he went along, and I’m sure did good work, but long and short of it is I paid $453 to install a thermostat. (And didn't know the thermostat replacement would be $250 til he’d already been there) Part of the high fee was because I called ~5:30 and they close at 5. Since it was going to be a cold night and one of the tenant’s

The plumber arrived within the window of time they told me. He installed a kitchen faucet that we had already purchased. He was pleasant and did a good job. He was at the house exactly an hour. We were stunned by the charge: $250.00. I canceled another appointment we had with Robertson to do electrical work.Update: the company refunded $100.00 of the bill.

I was out of town when I got a call from my room mate that the furnace was working. The technician showed up and found a kill switch on the wall for the furnace (you know how tenants are). Quality of work was 5 stars as the technician did a wonderful job flipping a switch. But to charge me $135 for that seems a little extreme to me. Even for just “showing up”

We had a lightning storm that hit our barn burn it down but it surged all through the house. They were thorough I feel safe now and my own house they did everything from deal with the insurance to getting the paperwork done in Madison County. I have edited my review from 2 stars. I was contacted by Robertson Electric within 24 hours of having left my review. They gave prompt response and resolution. Their representative was dispatched in less than 2 hours of our phone conversation. Within about 1 1/2 hours my drain was running freely and I received instruction on proper maintenance for my garbage disposal to prevent another clogged drain as long as possible. This interaction was far superior to my previous one and I am pleased that they made every effort to rectify the issue. A big Thank you!

Robertson electric recently finished installing a new HVAC system in our house (and converting us from gas to a heat pump for heat), upgrading the electric service/panel to 200 amps, installing an on-demand hot water heater, and a great deal more. Smaller work included wiring for and installing ceiling fans, rerouting water lines, installing new duct work for a few rooms, etc. Every aspect of their interaction with us and their work was top-notch. The tech arrived on time, and did a very thorough and professional check-up on two separate heat pump units. He was more than willing to share with me tips that are so helpful to a homeowner. I feel like I learned a lot about my systems and heat pumps in general. I was so happy, I will request the same technician to perform the regular service on my other systems in another house.
