We were absolutely thrilled with the service Urban Canopy Tree Service provided us. The tree we had cut was very large and in a very challenging location and both Gavin and Paul took the time and effort to do the job with extra care and did an even better job that what we originally had expected. Very happy we chose them when going through various companies. Would recommend their services to anyone looking for tree cutting/pruning/removal.

Gavin was polite, professional, he did his job extremely well, his price was excellent, he checked the tree+had my estimate the day I called him, and he did the job within the week.
He removed the big broken tree branch I asked about as well as the other trouble spots he showed me when he initially came to check the tree.
He was great with the neighbours and with using their yard + driveway. Everything was clean when he was done. Not a twig left behind.
I will be calling him again if any issue with one of my trees comes up again.

Gavin and his colleague removed a 35-40 foot white oak tree that was dead at the back corner of my backyard a few days ago. It was impossible to get a lift back there so he climbed it carefully and removed from the top down. I was impressed with the attention to detail and professionalism by him and his crew. His price was very reasonable for the effort and amount of work it took to get the tree down safely without damaging mine or my neighbours property. Gavin and Tom are whom you should be calling with your 'tree woes.' Courteous, professional, reliable...I could go on and on. Needed work done within a limited time frame and Gavin came through with a competetive price via email (lower than the two other companies that I contacted) and left my property clean! For a job that size I was expecting a disaster in my backyard. Was left speechless as to their thoroughness and aptitude.

We got in touch with Gavin, who was professional and courteous and got us a quote within two days. His price for the job was very competitive. After being left in the lurch by the previous tree removal service, we needed work done quickly to accommodate a landscaping company, and Gavin was here within the week.

Gavin and his crew were fantastic! It is so rare to meet such a warm personality and someone who takes pride in their work. Unlike most of my experiences with various contractors, I did not have to point anything out, argue about contracts, or micro manage the project. Gavin and his crew did everything that was discussed and went above and beyond that! I am so impressed and would highly recommend him!

Gavin and his crew were great! I called when the big tree in our yard fell over and he was there the next day to remove it. The job was made tougher because the stump had also come out of the ground so it took some time to break it down. They (2 of them) got the entire job completed in a day and cleaned everything up afterwards as well (not easy with a very cold day and snow on the ground)! I would definitely recommend him and I'm pretty sure I may need to call him in the future to deal with some other large trees on our property.

Had Gavin and his crew over to my house in Hamilton to trim several trees and completely remove a few. They showed up on time and were done on time and did clean, professional job, for a reasonable price.
In my case, the neighbours wanted to weigh-in on what was being cut. I liked it that Gavin was ok with making several decisions on-the-spot as to some of the limbs that were being removed.
I would hire them again.

Gavin and Dennis cut down a big dead pine tree and did an excellent job. It was easy and fast to obtain a quote remotely as we spoke on the phone and the quote with a fair price was emailed to me after a few days.
During the job, when Gavin noticed that the tree is used to hold up a wobbly fence at the back, he graciously suggested and helped leave a bit of the tree trunk and nail it to the fence. The clean-up was very thorough and the back yard looked neater than before!
