I would give 4 stars to Maritime Fire place for our purchase and installation but dealing with A1 Chimney for any service work gets 1 star. Called last week as our propane insert is not working properly and they were not able to give me a service date. They were supposed to call or send an email as to when they might be a able to get to our house. Still waiting. Will probably go with another company.

A beautiful retail store. Very friendly staff. Very knowledgeable. We tried to do business but little to no communication with respect to logistics and delivery, prevented the whole deal and we canceled. No one showed up. No one followed up until we emailed to ask what happened. We were super disappointed but may try them again in future and just purchase products without service or delivery to avoid problems.

Had a fireplace installed 5 years ago by another store which had a ''better'' price but turned out to be a nightmare. Just couldn't get it to work. Fortunately they took it out and we got our deposit back and then we got Maritime to come over and they did a fantastic job. It was a little more expensive but got a much better product that works great. You heard the saying, ''you get what you pay for''. The service is also fantastic. George and Jason will do their best to help you resolve issues over the phone before sending a costly technician. Highly recommended. Pierre Maillet

First contact with this company back in June for an annual maintenance on my Valor required 5 follow-up calls to confirm appointment. Technician who provided service on site called in advance on day to confirm arrival. He was very cordial & friendly.
First time firing unit up last night with all new batteries unit would not fire. Contacted service… spoke to Paul to request drop in check on why given unit hasn’t been used over summer. Paul advised there would not be any warranty on annual service provided and there would be an additional charge for the call.

Purchased a Valor fireplace 2 years ago, had problems with the burner, twice, it seemed to take forever to get a new burner from Valor. I can't say enough good things about the way Maritime Fireplaces went above and beyond to get the part that was needed. Thank you Pat , Tracy & Jim for all the time you took to get our fireplace back up and running. Customer service is the best. Highly recommend Maritime!

Great products but customer service terrible. We have been waiting for over 2 months for them to repair our fireplace - after 2 service calls with incorrect parts ordered, we are still waiting for them to call us back to set up another appointment. No one returns our calls. And it’s freezing out. Seriously, what is up with that?
