Shawn started in the electrical trade 21 years ago after 10 years in the forest industry where he had worked in development and silviculture. In 2004, he started Rooham Electric, named after his father's last name Rooney, and his step-father's last name, Hamling. As a business owner, Shawn especially enjoys the challenge of running his own company, with all of its downfalls and rewards.

Our building recently had the Rooham team in to upgrade our panels, wall sockets, light fixtures etc. Very knowledgeable and professional group of hard working guys. Adam definitely knows his way around wires and is very good at leading the crew/apprentices to get the job done right and efficiently. Its not everyday you can find contractors like Adam who are kind, patient, and trustworthy. Thank you Adam, Jordan and Rooham team !!

Did a full kitchen reno. Removed walls etc. Rooham came in and upgraded our service and brought our kitchen wiring up to code. They added more downstairs and installed new GFCI's outside including a 30 Amp for the rv. Can't say enough good about everyone they sent over. Especially Brandon who was our point man and really sorted through the worst of the old wiring issues we had.

We had to move a light fixture and get rid of the wiring from a removed hot tub. Adam made a few suggestions that saved time but made no difference to the finished result, saving us money. He was very friendly and professional. We will certainly use Rooham again when needed.

We did major rewiring at our home as part of our renos. Shawn was very responsive in sending a team member to evaluate our project. He gave us a budget that matched exactly my estimate. But I opted to use hourly billing. Four different workers came, always on time, never wasting time, and providing good suggestions as we progressed. (Shout-out to Sy who came all four days and was outstanding.) They completed the work one day early and 25% below the original budget.

I am very impressed with Rooham Electric. I would highly recommend them. In a situation where I was desperate to get a job done because of another contractor doing very poor work taking over 50 days!!!! I called Monday morning and Tuesday they had Brandon come in and spend the day on my trailer doing exceptional work. Thank you Rooham!!! Shawn and Brandon!!! Another company had referred Rooham to me , so I called and asked for estimate. The owner Shawn came to our home. He was super informative , polite and was very clear on the work. On a Thursday, 2 of his guys came over and was here most of the day. They did all the pre wiring for our electrical upgrade. These guys were super friendly. I asked along of questions and they were super helpful. They found a couple of live wires that were not handled properly and took care of that promptly.

Best electricians I’ve ever dealt with. They did everything for me including bidets, video cameras, lighting and Tesla chargers. Not only were they a one stop shop for me but while one of the techs was at my… new house he noticed the sump pump wasn’t hooked up or my water meter. He wired them both up in no time but I was impressed how on the ball he was to even notice these two things in a dark corner and it’s not what he was here to do. They pay attention to the details. Highly recommend

Rooham Electric was instrumental in ensuring the damages to my flooded condo were inspected and repaired . The work provided was efficient and is of extremely high standards . I feel safe and all my electrical issues have been repaired in a timely manner allowing me to be able to return to my unit just in time for Christmas. The electricians I met were very professional and personable . Patient and helpful in answering any questions I had. The response and organization of work was pleasantly efficient and immediate.
