Our approach to renovating your home is simple: work as a team. When you treat your clients and subtrades as partners, trust flourishes and conflicts are minimized. Thirty-five years in the business has taught us that the best way to achieve such a relationship is to have a rock solid process. During any renovation, you can count on some unanticipated challenges along the way.
The first question from new renovation clients is usually: 'Can we meet in person?' Yes, we'd love to, but there are some things you should know before we meet. For instance, we don't offer 'free quotes.' We've found that free quotes set the wrong expectation. We've replaced this with a 'no obligation consultation.'
Blaise grew up with MAC Renovations as a consistent part of his life: as his family's home-based business in MAC's early days, then working out of the Home Care Centre on Viewfield on weekends and summer holidays. Blaise's current role is Operations Manager, and he continues to drive the business by delivering incomparable quality and value to homeowners throughout Greater Victoria.
Challenge: create separate living areas for a mom and daughter while maintaining the original look and feel of a 1960s home in the Gordon Head community of Victoria, BC. We are currently on our fourth contract with MAC Reno and have been very satisfied dealing with them. They’ve done exterior repairs in about 10 different places around our house, and are nearly done a $94,000 deck-door-roof installation. Special shout-outs to: Sean and Mark (for on-the-fly redesign of our deck shape to better suit terrain), Adrian (for doing top-notch exterior door installations despite wonky angles in our house), and Derek (for communication and spotting potential problems with our ideas before they go too far).

We used MAC reno for our basement remodel and renovation and had a wonderful experience. They were super professional, kept to a tight schedule, and were tidy and on time always !! I would highly recommend using MAC reno for all of your renovations! It completely took the stress of organizing a reno out of our hands, and they were always super responsive when we had questions. We hired MAC Reno to remove an old leaky sunroom and replace it with approximately 200 square feet of bright living space, and to complete a kitchen reno, half a bath reno and landscaping at the same time. What first drew me to this company, other than the geographic proximity, was their tag line: ‘A contractor you can trust’. I asked around and found some folks who knew the owner, and highly recommended the company. The best decision I ever made was hiring MacRenovations! Terri Wills and Jason Marsh were the project managers and they were fantastic! Terri had some wonderful design ideas and there was nothing that Jason couldn’t fix including all of the computer cables (a work of art!).
Without exception the staff (trades and office personnel) were so delightful to deal with and never undermined any concerns or questions I had.
A year later this place always makes me smile when I come through the door (it could be the gorgeous oak flooring!). There is nothing I would have done differently.

I hired MAC Renovations to assist with water damage repairs in a home. MAC Renovations was there right away to assess the scope of work and was quickly able to tackle the various scopes of repair including removals, replacement of insulation/drywall, finish carpentry and paint. They were a pleasure to work with and a huge stress relief to know they had it taken care of for me instead of having to hire/coordinate various trades individually. I highly recommend this company :)

Mac has done a number of projects at my house since 2006, some smaller projects and some major renovations. They've also managed my home's entire exterior paint job, and a new roof. In 2019-2020, Mac did a complete deck re-build, including new doors where there were windows, electrical, water, etc. The Mac designed a new deck, and executed the design perfectly. When minor variances were needed during the course of the project, they offered solutions, and listened to my suggestions and questions. It was an eight week project, and Mac had the schedule down to the minute, and finished on time, and
