Awning windows are hinged at the top and open outward. Screens are placed on the interior of the window unit. Similar to casements, the entire window area can be opened, while sliders are limited to less than half of the window area. I honestly cannot recommend Hometech Windows enough! We replaced the windows at our home that came from the builder and it is drastically different. These windows are such high quality and the biggest selling feature for us is the insulation/energy efficiency. It's extremely noticeable in the winter and keeps the heating bill down a bit which is always a plus. Their service and staff are amazing and just the cherry on top of this amazing business. Will definitely be back if we ever need windows and will forever refer these guys!!

My bike broke down on the 401, one of their drivers Mike had stopped to help me move my bike out of the live lane to safety. Based on the courteousness of the driver I would recommend this business.
