Island Grown Sod is a locally owned and operated business in PEI. Located in East Royalty in Charlottetown, we have been servicing the island for many years. With the addition of Island Instant Turf in 2008 we have grown to better serve PEI, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia with all their sod needs. Whether your job is big or small we can help.

Services
We offer a wide range of services and products for both commercial and residential customers. Below is a list of those services and a brief description of each. Spring / Fall Clean-Up - Flower bed prepping and cleaning, wrapping and unwrapping of trees and bushes, closing of ponds. Machinery Rentals - Post holes, grading, trenching, light stumping, excavating, power raking, parking lot sweeping, field mowing, etc.
We also carry a variety of cedar mulch. The advantage to using cedar mulch on your property is that it helps to control ant and other insect infestation. Bulk Yard Materials: LxWxH (in feet) of the area you would like to cover divided by 27 = cubic yards. In the case of sod always add 5 to 10% of extra material to account for contouring and cutting in around obstacles such as trees, flower beds, etc.
IMPORTANT NOTE DO A SOIL TEST: Before making an investment in your lawn the only way to know how good your soil is or know what inputs your soil needs is to do a soil test. This test tells you what your PH, organic matter, phosphorus and potash levels are at. If you want to know your micro nutrients, they do that test also.
