For sealed unit replacement work, we rely on Insulite Manufacturing Inc. located in Calgary. Oriel Windows exceeded my expectations when they replaced my windows in my older home.
Rob and his crew were respectful of my home and polite. They cleaned up after themselves and kept the outside flower bed disruption to a minimum. I highly recommend this company for any further work. They needed to replace some boards once they took the bay window up and did that at a very reasonable rate as well.

I phoned about a bay window replacement over a month ago. Gentleman said he would have assistant call me back to book an appointment. Three days later on a Friday; I phoned again and was told again that the assistant would call me back to book an appointment.
Beginning of September I phoned again asking what the issue was for not getting a call back to book. Response was that they are busy and the assistant will call me to book an appointment the day before they can come out!?
My window is falling out now and I can't wait much longer.

My wife and I saw some work Oriel did down the street from us and since we are replacing our living room window (and looking for a solution to replace our basement windows) I thought I’d ask them for a quote.
Well, it took an initial call (ignored), and a follow up call to get the office to agree to send someone out. Then I waited for the estimator to book a time with us. All in, four calls over 5 days, just to book an appointment.
The meeting goes fine. Jim promises a quote “early next week”. Nothing.
10 days later I call and ask about the quote - “I’ll have to you tomorrow” says

2) I wanted a local company, for after-sales service, if needed.
3) Two of my friends had dealt with Oriel and both gave me rave reviews.
4) The company has 30 years experience.
This is a family owned and operated company and it shows. From the time we showed Jim our problems, through the problem solving stages, to the quote, Jim Long gave us superior customer service. His suggestions were so helpful and he thoroughly explained how the job

Our patio door was damaged when it swung open in high winds. Called Jim up and he made sure all my concerns were met. He personally came to take the measurements and 2 weeks later, the door was installed. Fit like a glove and no concerns. The blinds within the door were fixed and all was good. Installers were great, overall very friendly staff and a great experience.

Made a request on their website to have an estimate done. Got a call back right away and they had a cancellation so fit me in quickly to measure windows. Fellow was friendly enough. However, I still to this day (2 weeks later) have not received my estimate or a call regarding it. Guess they don't need the business.

Out of all the places I contacted, I found Oriel Windows to be the most difficult company to deal with. And I made a sincere and genuine effort right up until I had no choice but to cancel the work order. One of the biggest contributing factors was the rude scheduler answering the phone, who I was surprised to learn could not provide me with any helpful information regarding scheduling apart from the rudely delivered 'when we get to it' timeframe. The second time I called and was greeted by this individual, I promptly announced my name and address information and proceeded to ask about the status
