In 1983, Deborah LeFrank began providing landscape design services to inspire people to interact with their surroundings, creating memorable outdoor spaces. In 2018, Deborah transitioned from Landscape Architecture to Visual Life Stories and began a new chapter of collecting memories for people. With 30 years of experience of combining art and nature, Deborah LeFrank is well recognized for what she calls "designs for humanity". Passionate about connecting people with nature, her work upholds the values of improving our community for now and future generations, minimizing the impact of development and enhancing the balance of natural systems.
New home and garden set on steeply sloped site created opportunity for walled living room courtyard enhanced by large stone columns framing an eye catching fireplace. Access to garden areas are framed by masonry staircase, curving pergola and woodland stairs. French country home with formal gardens including a pergola walk, tiered fountain and gorgeous garden house set amongst a Garry Oak woodland.
500 bed Patient Care Centre - Design Landscape Architect on team for successful design build competition. Construction implementation included working with Durante Kreuk Ltd. Wide variety of landscape environments from streetscape to staff only garden to secure patient gardens to semi-private patient areas to fully public environments.
Three day care centre playgrounds were significantly upgraded to create play opportunities that challenge, teach and engage the children in a safe environment. Each playground caters to a specific age group from 18 month to 5 year olds. Natural elements such as driftwood logs, boulders, water and plants are combined in innovative ways to reinforce appreciation for the natural environment.
