Blackforest replaced our septic system last year in the home we live in. They were professional, friendly and informative. I wanted to share. Blackforest did extensive work at my place. I was very pleased with the work. Interlock patio (front and back) and driveway . It was a complicated task due to the varying elevations, especially with my neighbour's property.
This company came up with creative solutions, helped plan the design and went the extra mile to get the desired materials which included them sourcing items that were out of town, that were difficult to track down. They finished the job ahead of schedule an on budget.

We hired BlackForest this year for a landscaping and deck project. They re-graded and seeded our large yard, installed a drainage system, removed/rebuilt a cedar deck, built a retaining wall and managed a sub-contractor for paving. We were very pleased with the results, particularly the deck, which looks fantastic and was very well built.
We found communication from this company to be great, and appreciated the advice providing on the design. The workers were very professional, friendly and clean. Matt, our main contact and Adam, the landscaping foreman were a pleasure to work with.

So happy with Blackforest Contractor. We engaged them to excavate and install paving stones in our backyard on which we park a vehicle. Excellent and timely work. Great crew. And the project is beautiful and is standing up very well. So happy we don't have pooling water like we did before we had this project done! Highly recommended this company and we'd use again.

This company completed landscaping restoration work on our front and back yards. It involved repairs to raise half our backyard landscaping and our front step which had sunk a foot or more over the last 25 years due to our clay soil foundation. The work involved taking out and replacing our patio and steps which were in a circular pattern with the same materials. Blackforest did excellent work and demonstrated patience, professional experience and competence and we are very pleased with their work. It was completed on time and on budget and we are pleased to recommend their company for landscaping

We needed to have the full foundation redone on our home last summer. The Blackforest crew were very professional, respected our property (cleaned site every evening before leaving), conducted the work in accordance to code and were very knowledgeable on the products and its application. In my opinion, the team leaders went above and beyond by dropping in late a few evenings and during weekend to check the temporary pump during the project due to a few days of heavy rain. Many thanks for taking the time to answer our questions and excellent work performed! We have not had any issues since the work

Always get 3 quotes in writing, warn your neighbors about possible damage and have proof before a contractor leaves. Very hard to prove after the fact. If you give permission to let someone use your yard ,make damn sure you have barriers in areas such as retaining walls that will keep them from parking their heavy equipment near as the shear weight could cause a collapse . Better still say no, and erect a temporary fence if you have to, because not everybody is looking out for your best interests.
