Services
Dr. Monica Jensen-To has practiced optometry in Calgary since graduating from the University of Waterloo in 1992. Her optometric training included the specialties of pediatric eye care, binocular vision, contact lens management, geriatric eye care and low vision. She and her husband started Site for Sight in 1998 where they have enjoyed providing eye care to the Northern Hills Community.
Amblyopia refers to poor vision in an eye that cannot be corrected by spectacles or contact lenses and is not caused by an eye disease or injury. Amblyopia occurs when the neural connections between the eye and the brain do no develop properly in early childhood. Between birth and age 6 the neural connections between the eye and brain continue to develop.
Your optometrist will use a number of techniques to assess any potential vision or eye health problems, and will keep a file of that information in order to keep track of changes in your eye health or vision. Regular visits to your optometrist are recommended. Case History - you will be asked about your general health, medications you may be taking, your working environment, hobbies, etc.
Preventative care in any area of healthcare is often the best solution in maintaining a healthy body and mind. Children should have their first eye examination at 6 months, and again at the age of 3 years, then every year after that until they reach adulthood. Remembering that good vision plays a vital role in their learning ability.

While the optometrists are good, and the store may have been good in the past, the ongoing struggle and issue with getting my lenses, installing them in frames, and picking them up has been a comedy of farces. See the optometrist for a good experience but you would be better off getting your lenses elsewhere.

I highly recommend site for site Optometry! Wonderful staff. I have a very complicated prescription and Dr. Chorel went above and beyond to insure that my glasses were fitted properly. She even called me two weeks later to follow up. She is very caring, patient and listens to your concerns. I am so impressed!

Came into this office with a fast moving and aggressive viral and bacterial eye infection. Dr. Chorel and Dr. Monica Jensen are true professionals. They gave me peace of mind by giving me alternative contact points(their cellphones) they fit me into a busy office without having to wait. While Dr. Chorel was on vacation she was in contact with me and vowed she would come into the office on a Sunday(they're closed this day) if I needed her.
Truly grateful and appreciative. I would recommend this office to anyone who wants proper eye care.

I recently had my eyes tested by Dr.Jensen. Who was wonderful by the way. I made a comment to her that of all the places I have ever been this one is by far the best. Wonderful, Helpful, & Friendly Staff. I did much of my appointment with Erica and she was 100% awesome. I highly recommend Sight for Site! Oh by the way, this is the 1st time I have given a 5 star review for anything.

My family and I have been going to see Dr. Monica Jensen-To for years since we were kids. She is such a great optometrist, who does a thorough job of conducting her eye exams and makes it a fun and calm experience for kids. My yearly eye exams seeing Dr. Jensen has had such a huge impact on me as a child and growing up, that I am pursuing optometry at the University of Waterloo for Fall 2021. I would highly recommend this clinic!

I had some personal issues with my newly updated prescription for my glasses I bought from them.
They did absolutely everything they could to make me feel comfortable to the point of personal phone calls just to check up to see how things were.
Don't hesitate at all to book in with them and let them help you with your eye sight.

I ordered safety glasses for work and we agreed on high index and transition prescription glasses (after I had to make a special extra request which was updated on my job ticket provided by my employer), but that is NOT what I got. I am now in an 8 weeks process dealing with 2 different optometrists which did not deliver what was clearly agreed on. I am forced to wear my old safety glasses at work that are now over 4 years old, which have scratches. The glasses were made by this same optometrist . So this time around we basically agreed on having the same thing done since my vision did not change

They messed up on my contacts. The first time the prescription was wrong. They reordered them and I waited at least a month and finally called them and they had forgotten about them. I waited another 3 weeks for my appointment. My prescription had changed and I was without the right contacts for 2 months because of their error. I wasn't offered any compensation and they tried to pass it off as "Normal". I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I had been to Site for Sight before but I had never needed glasses before this experience. I had noticed a change in my vision and booked an appointment with one of their optometrists. She decided I had an astigmatism and would require full-time glasses. My husband and I returned the following weekend to pick out frames. It was obvious we were there to purchase glasses and not one single person came out to offer any assistance. They had a bunch of frames in locked cabinets that my husband kept rattling, obviously wanting to take a closer look and no one came out to help us. Finally I walked
