With a 5-acre lumber yard on-site, our store in Maple Ridge carries dimensional lumber, and a variety of products for plywood, pressure treated wood, cedar, and primed fascia.
At Haney Builders in Maple Ridge, we stock a variety of insulation products. The most common types of insulation are fiberglass, cellulose and foam. We had an account with Haney Builders Supplies for 21 years. Items being purchased by myself and my staff. Recently I visited Haney Builder Supplies and attempted to make a $20.00 purchase and was informed my account was suspended. While in the store I called my office and was advised that payment was mailed. Knowing this I asked to speak to their accounting department and was advised they would not be in the office until next week and they would contact me. I left my business card.
Monday I returned to Haney Builders Supplies and again asked to speak to their accounting department and this time

I was quite taken by a check out clerk She was having trouble accepting cash and as I was in no hurry I suggested to let the lady behind me go ahead . Well she was having troubles with her purchase so I helped her to get things resolved . Well after finaly gettng out the door I had noticed some metal gates that i was intersted in but there was no price posted

Double the price of Rona on the lumber I needed ($52 per board vs. $27 at rona) and over ⅓ higher than San Cedar ($32 per board). Also, Rona quality is better. I picked 1 out of 10 boards at Haney builders to buy. Rest were junk (live edges, twisted, huge knots). At Rona, I turned aside 1 out the 11 I looked at.
It's too bad. I like to spend at small businesses. But not double. Their staff are great though. And that's what keeps me trying to buy there. Just finding the last few trips I end up chosing to go elsewhere after having stopped in.

I have been a customer since I moved here 10 years ago. I pretty much purchase all my supplies at your store. Recently I have been comparing you to other retailers and noted your prices are higher 90% of the time. Today I came in for drywall compound and you were almost $10 more for exactly the same item. I don't mind paying a few bucks more to support my local businesses but, this is a huge variance. It's not the first time I bought some plumbing supplies a while back and when I went to your competitor I did a price match and you came in at about 40% higher for the same thing. I can also say the

Went here for plumbing supplies recently and was amazed by the friendliness, knowledge, service and helpfulness of all the staff: From the technical specialist, to the floor personal, to the cashier, to the yard guy. All were superb, real, down to earth and personable. They didn't just offer to help. They went out of their way to find out what the problem was and then help. Made my problem a breeze and me look like an expert. The prices seemed very fair if not better then the big box stores. I highly recommend these guys.

Highly recommend Sheri the paint specialist. she went above and beyond for my family today. after hearing the story of us trying to surprise my aunt with some of her last wishes of some minor home renovations while she is in hospital and due to come home this week , Sheri really stepped up and not only helped make that happen by guiding us with… the proper knowledge of what we wanted to do but her compassion was felt deeply by our family and we honestly appreciate her and her kind words she took time out of her day to talk person to person rather then “just another day on the job

I've been going here for two years with no problem till today. Lady at paint counter really didn't want to have anything to do with me or my question about paint. When I showed a pic of the type of paint I wanted to match her reply was that's now another company's product. I asked if she had anything like it and her response was "nope". I asked if anything was compatible and her response was "dunno". I said you don't know?
She said "nope". I said i'll go somewhere where they know and walked out. Terrible customer service.

Used Haney for lumber on our new house, they did not bill us for months because their new computer system was incorrect, then we get 25 emails on the same day asking for $40,000 plus interest for late payment. We explained to them we did not get any emails from them, and they agreed but they still wanted their $40,000 plus late payments. Nothing… was done to correct this situation, and they were not the least bit understanding that we did not have the full $40,000, we needed to pay in increments. We will never use them again, and we would never recommend them to anyone. This is our second

I just want to thank the young man who helped me find a solution for my toilet paper holder that keeps flying apart. I know it was a really simple repair but new to me! With many of us women doing simple home repairs his attitude was just plain helpful and unlike other local hardware stores not condescending!!!
