Being a longtime lover of the outdoors, when I need to get out of the noisy shop I enjoy spending time pursuing a bit of nature photography. I have been selling prints for a number of years, but have only recently launched a new website dedicated to my photography. Here at Beebe Knives you will find a large selection of fine handmade knives and sheaths.
I offer a variety of my own original designs and am happy to do custom work as well. I specialize in making fixed blade working knives, and I offer styles for hunting, skinning, fillet, woodcarving, and kitchen. My name is Paul Beebe, and the knives that you will find here represent the field-proven designs and fine craftsmanship which I have developed over many years as a knife lover and custom knife maker.
Although each knife that leaves my shop could be rightly considered a piece of art, I have chosen to specialize in making fixed blade knives that are intended to be used. It has taken me awhile to get to this - but I now have a Full Tang Hunters page, where I have a complete listing of my standard full tang hunting, skinning, bushcrafter, and survival knives.

Services
As I have written about in more detail in my History page, I have been making knives and other hand tools for over thirty years, and offering them for sale since 1984. In the earliest years I basically worked alone in my small shop. I have had help in production at various times since then, including from my wife and at least one of my children.
My shop is located in Upsala, Ontario, Canada. Upsala is a small town about 145 kilometers (90 miles) northwest of Thunder Bay, Ontario on Hwy. 17. Drop-ins are welcome, or you may want to phone ahead just to make sure I'll be there. It would be great to hear from you, and I will be very happy to give you more information or to answer any questions you may have about my work.
In designing my knives I draw upon my years of experience in the wilderness of Northwestern Ontario, trapping, fishing, hunting, canoeing, camping, and working with my hands. My approach to knife design is to combine simplicity, pleasing lines, and utility with quality materials and good craftsmanship.
I thought it would be good to lay out in a little detail the parts of a knife, some basic knife construction styles, as well as just some of the terminology we commonly use when talking about knives. There often may be more than one name for a particular part of a knife, and I may mention some of the various terms that I know of, but I will generally use the terms that I prefer.
This is a listing of my standard full tang utility hunting, skinning, and bushcrafter models. As you will find here, I commonly make full tang hunters in blade lengths ranging from 3 to 6 inches. To find a listing of my standard 3/4 tang hunters and skinners, go to my 3/4 Tang Hunters page. To find what knives I have currently available for purchase, you can visit my Knife Gallery page, or you are always welcome to contact me with any questions.
