Nestled in the beautiful farmland of south-eastern Ontario we are so lucky to be surrounded by the natural landscape. We operate our business from our home and love the country life. The Garden Place is a family-run garden design and installation company and we grow our own flowers and veggies. We have to laugh when some people ask us "you are seniors - why don't you retire?"
Truth be told, we just love our work. To us, it's the journey that counts. Our life philosophy is "do the best we can, help each other, work hard, keep discovering, and have fun along the way" type of thing. It is very satisfying to share our knowledge and experience and have other people realize the potential of their own properties.

If it wasn't for their stamina, pride-of-work, brains and muscles we couldn't do what we do. This sounds like a "move to the country" story, but that's exactly what we did.

Services
Whether you need curb appeal for the front of your home, or would like to create a safe and fun backyard to hang out in - we can help. We treat every design as if it were our own, and each step is explained in detail before the work starts. We will meet at your property, walk around to view the area, discuss styles, preferences, problem areas, etc. Photographs and measurements are taken.
A company "perk" of our work is that we get to meet wonderful people. And just like people - each house is unique. No two are alike - neither are our designs. Every plan is customized and we pay special attention to the style of the house, best tree and plant choices, adding interest/form/colour, customer preferences, problem areas, maintenance levels, and many more details.
Your front yard is the first impression of your home. It has high value and should look good all year round. In our neck of the woods (south-eastern Ontario) we don't have anything in leaf or bloom from November to May - that's a whole six months - so when we design the front of a home, we use a minimum of 50% evergreens to ensure there is 12-month interest.

I cannot say enough good things about The Garden Place! As a new homeowner with a yard that had virtually no landscaping, I was not sure where to even begin. Would like to say a big thank you to Deanna, John and there team for all there hard work they did on our yard at the end of the fall last year. We are very happy with the front sod and the gardens in the font and back yard. If anyone is looking to have there gardens done I would highly recommend The Garden Place they were very professional and very helpful with achieving want I was looking for. Can’t wait for the summer to see all the hard work.

We had a wonderful experience working with Deanna from The Garden Place. She was understanding, responsive, and affordably priced. We were unable to carry out the plans and plant this fall due to time constraints but are looking forward to planting in the spring! There are not enough words to describe my experience with The Garden Place. They are the friendliest people on this planet. They are very professional, very knowledgeable in all plants, flowers, trees etc...They know exactly what your house needs...They are quick and so easy to deal with. Deanna is the Best professional person you will ever meet. My house was beautiful but was missing the most important thing in the world. After The Garden Place came and did their magic, it was not just a beautiful house, it is a beautiful HOME now.
