The company known today as Pedersen Construction (2013) Inc. was originally founded in 1955 as Helmer Pedersen Construction Ltd. Helmer Pedersen established the business as a means of offering construction services to residential clients, businesses and municipalities of Northern Ontario. The company originally specialized in basement construction, excavation and concrete work.
Since the company's inception there has always been an emphasis on giving back to the community. Helmer was a huge fan of hockey and as a result the initial focus was on the youth within the area. The company not only made monetary donations to support various teams but Helmer also gave his time as a coach on a number of occasions.

DO YOUR CALCULATIONS!
Originally had a quote(24x24x6 Slab) for X amount of dollars. Few weeks later went to get another quote (16x24x4) and went to tell me its the same price. I asked why and he sent me some rough cross section of the perimeter and said it was the same amount of concrete. He then said he made a mistake on the original quote in terms of the dimensions for the perimeter. After sending emails with calculations to prove to him that it was about 33% less concrete on the "corrected" original quote. Then said "not interested". Wasn't even willing to take on the business at his quoted

I called asking for a quote on a cement pad I was transferred to a man named Aleic. I explained I was looking for a quote for a 20 x 40cement pad. He said do you have a structural design i said i do not he said I cant do so I said I live in an unorganized town. He said ok when do you want it I said I'm not sure it depends on how much. He said well the price depends on when. So pick the fall ot next year so I said ok let's say this fall.. he said I have no availability.. so I said ok what about next year..he said and I quote.
