Our programs are based on a study of soils and the relationship in developing and maintaining healthy turf through the use of quality fertilizer and micro nutrients to amend soil deficiencies. We believe in continuous education to remain current of research within the industry, to better improve our service.
If there is ever any damage to your lawn by insects, we will repair the lawn free of charge. The "Weed & Insect" program uses a variety of high quality fertilizers. We will provide complete fertilization with weed control. The lawn is inspected throughout the season and if insects are identified, they will be treated.
Crabgrass, that unsightly grass weed that crowds into your lawn during mid to late summer. During the dry parts of summer when your regular grass plants may be going brown and dormant, it will stay green and standout. As we go into the later parts of summer, crabgrass will sprout seed stalks that are purplish in colour and very unsightly.
Chinchbugs can be a problem on turfgrass throughout much of our area. They are so small that they can literally destroy a lawn without ever being actually observed. Females start laying eggs in late spring and normally deposit over 200 eggs during a 20 - 30 day period. Eggs are laid in the sheaths of grass plants, or other protected places and they hatch in 7 - 10 days.
This is a great way to renovate tired looking lawns and thicken thin turf for a plusher-looking lawn. Slit seeding is achieved by a machine that creates small 1/4 inch slits in the soil through existing turf. The seeds are then dropped directly into the slits to create a very high rate of seed to soil contact.
