Our furnace stopped working on Sunday. The pilot light was still working and the burner would come on and stay on a bit too long, but no fan. I called Reliance Mechanical on the Sunday and talked about the problem, kind of narrowing down the problem being the motor for the fan. He quoted a price, and talked about me looking into replacing the furnace as it is probably around 80 years old.
I decided to fix the problem and look into getting an air to air heat pump some time soon.
He came the next morning, and patiently checked the power feed to the motor, which was good, then removed the motor

I get back from vacation to find the fan in my furnace has stopped working. Based on this companies excellent reviews elsewhere, I give them a call and explain that I've checked over my furnace and ruled out the simple inexpensive things that could be causing the problem. The fellow explains the most likely causes and tells me the labour and parts costs, all of which seemed reasonable. Then, he suggests I try one more thing before he books an appointment. I go to my furnace, make a simple adjustment, and the fan comes back to life, no cost. Five star helpfulness, with the customers best interest
