I was very impressed with the technician, Dave C, who provided maintenance service on my furnace. He was very thorough, and corrected some potential issues that had been overlooked by other technicians in the course of providing furnace tune-ups. (flushed the pump with vinegar and straightened a kinked drainage hose). He spotted a significant potential problem (which had been mentioned to me once previously) and immediately confirmed that an expensive part (the motor) could be replaced under warranty. He thoroughly and factually explained all my options without bias.

Went to check on a property for another reason and discovered - no heat! And we were in a cold snap. The temp inside was already down to 4.5 C. Pipes were in danger of freezing and a guest was supposed to arrive within a few hours.
Tech Eric Grobe came out within about 30 or 40 min of me calling Aire One. He was very friendly and efficient. He… first of all checked to make sure nothing was wrong with the furnace and then dealt with the issue which was the thermostat. He then made sure the heat was working properly. I found Eric to be very personable and easy to deal with.

Company was very responsive after our furnace stopped working and the process was pretty seamless. I appreciated the explanations provided about what was going on and we were given clear options of what it would take to repair vs getting a new furnace installed. First I need to say we own several properties serviced by various HVAC companies so we have some experience with them.
At property in Kitchener we had dealt with A1 for over 20 years. In the last few years our service seemed to go down. It ended with an incident last year when they told us that we needed to replace a furnace at a house we owned and rented out. We live in Toronto so we need to trust the company we are dealing with. I guess the A1 people thought we would never question them.

Incredibly rude office personnel. Told them specifically to call when they were on their way as I needed 30 minutes to get home.They called outside when they got to my house when I said I'd be about 30min as I was at work. They told me "it's not their problem" and they would be giving me a missed appointment fee when this is THEIR fault. krista in the office proceeded to get ruder by the minute when I was on the phone with her. The original failed appointment was on Friday.
The technician showed up at my door about an hour after I posted the original review. He offered a free appointment any time the following week to make up for the error and asked that I provide an updated review. I advised I would think about it and took his card.
Saturday - I called and agreed to the terms. I advised an appointment in the evening of Tues, Wed or Thurs is fine. He said either he or the office would call on Monday to schedule the appointment.
