Julie is the managing director of Gibsons Building Supplies. She is the third generation to oversee the business started in 1947. Her role is to provide leadership, focus and direction to the management team. She strives for growth while maintaining the company's reputation of service excellence. She will continue to guide the company's modernization to prepare it for successive generations.

Although we carry a wide range of products there is always a need for a special or custom made items, as a member of timber mart we have access to a very large number of reputable suppliers to meet your special order needs.
The exterior of your home is its most important feature, protecting the structure from the elements. Siding choices include Hardie and Allura cementitious siding or vinyl and aluminum from Kaycan and Gentek. Add a feature of cultured stone. Top it off with traditional cedar shakes, Malarkey's NexGen shingles or Westform metals.
No matter how big or small your hardscape project, Gibsons Building Supplies can provide everything from interlocking pavers for patios and walkways to a wide range of major retaining structures. Front line employees have always been most helpful, considering how under paid they are. Too bad the owners have been getting away with ripping people off with their extreme prices for as many years as they have...
It will be a good day on the Sunshine Coast when some actual competition shows up and puts GBS out of business. I can only hope.

Far from a big box store GBS provides dedicated staff available at a counter as soon as you walk in. Knowledgeable people, to help to get your jobs done.
Whenever I have asked they offered sound advice.
The indoor store is small but we'll stocked with commercial grade materials.
The yard is big and well stocked and you can drive around to gather your materials.
I recommend getting some basic directions before you drive in.
Pricing is my only caution for anyone. I have been pleasantly surprised on occasion, but more often than not it payed
