Not recommended - very disappointed in business and accounting practices of Gilbert Glass! Despite my numerous requests, this company out-right refused to provide me with a receipt for a glass shower door and installation. They told me to use my banking record of the etransfer as my proof of payment and to hand write on the Invoice "paid". Very questionable business practices. I etransferred payments for the new door and installation plus 13% HST and requested a final receipt for my records of home improvements on the property. It took them over 10 days and several reminder emails from

It has been more than 4 years since my first review, and Gilbert has been my go-to person/company for glass and mirror -- I'm an architect and I really appreciate quality work and great service, which these days is often hard to come by.
I had a custom tempered glass panel made for a fireplace in my old loft, and recently I had a custom shower door and mirrors installed in my new home and I couldn't be happier and I was glad I didn't waste my money by doing it through the builder. I also have been recommending Gilbert Glass to my friends and neighbours with no hesitations.
