Founded back in 2008 by John Horsnell and Trevor Stephenson, North Shore Door has a time-honoured relationship with Vancouver residents. I ordered about 30 milgard windows and sliding doors from North Shore Door last year. They are not delivered yet, but the experience is very bad. I will update the review after delivery.
There are many issues up to now.
1. When I placed the order, the man told me the lead time is about 2 months, actually, it took more than 3.5 months after their measures. This is an obsolute over commitment.
2. When I visited the store, I mentinoned clearly I need the installation service for the giant sliding doors because my framers do not have such skills to do it. The man never deny it and just told me their

We are really happy with the new front door we purchased at North Shore Door. The customer service was really good and the door installer we had was really perfectionist and made sure we were happy with the installation. We were also happy that North Shore door was taking care of staining the wooden door we selected. Other places we looked at didn't offer this service and we would have had to find someone else to do it.

We purchased a garage door from NorthShore Door. This door was manufactured by SteelCraft, a Canadian company.
As it turned out, the glass in the door leaked and each section would become cloudy. This particular deflect was covered by a one-year warranty. After 3 years, the door was replaced at no cost to us.
When we originally purchased the door, we insisted on buying locally and supporting Canadian companies. After the excellent service we received, our insistence was a wise decision.

Upon delivery, the 3 doors that I ordered from NSD were found to be damaged. Brayden dealt with this issue promptly and honorably. The doors were repaired/replaced in short order and, without prompting, I was kept up to date on progress by Rowena & Glaiden. Due to the exceptional customer service I received from NSD staff, a potentially contentious situation transformed into a completely satisfactory experience. Thank you Brayden, Brian, Glaiden, Rowena & Tim !!

When I visited the showroom the staff was helpful. The follow up, however, was brutal. I called 7 times, provided information about my project by email, called another 2 times and my communications were never returned. Thinking that if that is how they conduct their business, I am probably better off to go someone else.

We just had our two 8' x 7' garage doors replaced plus new door openers. Service was excellent from Mike in the office to Brayden, the manager, and Ron who installed the doors. Even in in the era of Covid-19, the doors were ready in super quick time and promptly installed. We are very pleased with the quality of the doors and they look great; curb appeal of our house has greatly improved. Door openers are quiet, a complete contrast to our old ones. We have received many compliments from friends and neighbours.

Our experience with North Shore Door was wonderful! Our small job (2 interior doors and closet doors) completely changed the impression of our home. The entire staff made everything from door selection to installation a pleasure. We would highly recommend this company for their meticulous attention to detail and for the experience and expertise of the people who made it all happen. Kudos to them for making it happen during a pandemic! We will be returning to them to complete the doors on the next floor soon...

I recently had custom closet doors and interior doors installed in my home and they are absolutely beautiful. Wish I had stayed with Richmond Building Supplies. NSD shipping fee plus additional charges for a "swamper" cost $75 which is double what Rmd Bldg co charges. Fir door arrived in a paint grade frame which looked terrible. This was mentioned in the email that asked to review contract but not on the contract so was missed. More shipping charges and 6 week delay. One star is for the lady I dealt with in their office and one for the quality of the door.

While I try to support locally owned business, the attention to client service just wasn't there. They did not place my order on time and seemed to loose track of it. Getting them to respond to my questions on timing was a challenge. I have used them before, but this time they just didn't measure up.
