Carpenter ant colonies are Polymorphic, meaning that one colony can have ants of differing sizes. These ants can be as small as 3/16th of an inch, and as large as ' of an inch. The larger the ants are in a nest, the more mature or established that nest may be. The Black Carpenter ant (Camponotus, pennsylvanicus) as shown in the above left photo, is the most common household invader in Toronto and throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

We've been happy clients for years but the other day was outstanding. Brad was in our home and noticed the smell of gas in our basement. My teenage daughter was home and Brad immediately notified my husband who put an emergency call into the gas company. I called my daughter to tell her to leave the house but Brad already told her to do that.
