Services
Burning wood in the fireplace results in flammable deposits (soot and creosote) to collect inside of the chimney flue and smoke-chamber. This can lead to a dangerous chimney fire and/or unwanted deterioration to the inside of the chimney. Regular cleaning and inspection will insure that the chimney and fireplace are in optimal condition for safe and efficient use.
A damaged chimney not only takes away from the beauty of the home, but can also be dangerous. Brick chimneys are usually the only masonry work on a home which is above the roof-line. This means that they have a much greater moisture exposure than the walls of the house, and are also prone to a freeze/thaw cycle.

Adam came to perform an annual sweep of my chimney. He checked the chimney from both outside and inside the house, and asked how frequently we use the fireplace. Based on his visual inspection and my response, he recommended that no cleaning was necessary as we hadn't used the fireplace much over the past year, and there weren't even any cobwebs. Having him complete an inspection only, as opposed to a cleaning, saved me approximately $85 over the cost of having the chimney swept. I appreciated his honesty as he could easily have performed the annual sweep and charged me for it.

We have used Top Hat Chimney for as long as I can remember and we've been in our home for over 30 years. Having your chimney done when you don't know much about chimneys or building is a bit of a daunting task. Top Hat took us through the whole process from consultation to completion smoothly and with ease. We are very happy with the quality of workmanship that was provided to us. Our chimney looks solid. Excellent service! These guys are very professional and friendly. Running a house one always has to deal with different services and I have to say dealing with "Top Hat Chimney" is absolute pleasure.
