To repair or tear down and build new is often a question many owners ask. There are benefits and drawbacks to both options. Metro Concrete Restoration draws on a history of materials testing and consulting on large concrete structures for more than 40 years of combined knowledge.

This provides our project managers with the background to understand how a concrete structure was built and what is likely going on within the structure to accurately diagnose a solution for the problem, and not just address the surface situation that is visible.

This experience provides owners with confidence that when they choose to repair instead of build new, the repair we propose will be better than or equal to the rest of the structure, thus restoring the structure's service life, and allowing the structure to be back in service faster than building new.We had them come in to fix some cracks in our slab that were not fixed properly 5 years ago.
Services
Metro Concrete Restoration is a concrete repair/restoration company made up of a passionate and dedicated group of people with expertise, training, and experience in all areas of concrete repair and materials specification. Metro can draw from a dynamic group of professionals in order to solve concrete problems, and create concrete solutions, wherever and whenever they are needed.
There are many Dams around the Lower Mainland to maintain as a part of the Metro Vancouver potable water supply. Often these areas are remote and access is a challenge. As they are a part of the potable water system care needs to be taken to ensure no contaminants make their way from the dam surfaces to the downstream river that supplies the treatment facilities before being piped to the reservoirs for distribution throughout the lower mainland.
Our crews are skilled in a wide variety of concrete repair techniques, learned on the complex and challenging type of projects we most enjoy. We have found that a concrete restoration project can often require specialty items like expansion joints, epoxy injection, hydro-demolition, and shotcrete, in addition to chipping and patching.
It is one of our goals to be self sufficient for jobs that require a variety of skills and equipment. To this end Metro has acquired various pieces of specialty equipment to limit our need for subcontractors. We have also made it a point to train employees so they are proficient on the equipment, not just in getting the job done, but also in problem solving to get the machine up and running again if something goes wrong.
Metro uses a wide range of products from around North America to ensure the job is done to the highest standards. The subcontractors we use have worked with us on a number of previous jobs and have shown that they partner with us well when it comes to goals and objectives. The suppliers we use have also worked with us successfully, and the long-standing relationship allows for competitive pricing.

We had them come in to fix some cracks in our slab that were not fixed properly 5 years ago. The crew came in, quickly fixed the issues and left. Very knowledgeable and finished everything nicely.
Will used them again on our other parkade.
