Services
Defrost Freezer (place a container of baking soda or charcoal inside the refrigerator & freezer to dispel odours). Donate unused items to your favourite charity or have a garage sale to help pay for some of your move. Prepare an "open first" box with towels, bedding, basic kitchen and bathroom supplies, toys or games for your children, tools (hammer, screwdriver) to set up furniture.

I recently has a very disappointing experience with Fort movers. We had bought a brand new house and wanted to hire professional movers to avoid dings in the walls as well as dirt and mud on our new white carpets.
The day started off with finding out the original 2nd person for our move had been sick and the owner had to come help with the job. We were not offered another day to change our move to. Very happy with the move within Alberta that was provided. Showed up with a good experienced crew who worked hard to pack/load and unload a household. James and his crew were top notch and would recommend. This work was done during the heat wave too which added concern but they came through.

My parents used this company for a move in Fort Saskatchewan and had a great experience, same with my step brother. I was more than happy to schedule them for my own move but they cancelled on me the day before my moving date. I have two small kids so rescheduling wasn't really feasible. They did arrange an alternate company but that ended up costing me $1600 to move a 2 bedroom apartment's worth of stuff 2.8 km. Bottom line, don't book with these guys if you need to move on a specific date.

I have had a lot of experience with movers over the last 10 years and can tell you that few were even close to positive. James and his crew were definitely the exception. They worked hard, making sure the move was quick and efficient. When other movers caused damage, tried to hide it and then avoided us, Fort Moving made sure that his guys took care of our stuff the way that we would. We were their second move of the day and their first one ran a little longer than they expected. I literally just finished getting move in by Fort Movers. I found them extremely accommodating as my move required a "last to load, first off the next morning" sort of situation. They accommodated it without hesitation, immediately, and was as agreed. I found James and his employees to be exceptional professional, and they took much more care of my property than I would have myself. Their work ethic was outstanding, and to be honest, I was getting tired just watching them. I read a previous review regarding theft, and I definitely call BS on that review.
