Jack bought Len's share of the business in the Early 60's and moved the business to its present day location on Kingston Street. In 1971 a Appliance Sales and Service Division was added at 58 Kingston St which remained open until the tornado in 2011. At that time the Appliance Service was moved back to 55 Kingston St.

Unfortunately I am here to leave a bad review. Our water had randomly shut off and stopped working on a friday. Figuring our pipes had frozen we called Hoffmeyer to get someone to help us figure out where. after calling the emergency number the man seemed annoyed as if we were inconveniencing him and told us "if the pipes are frozen then the damage has already been done" and told us to call on Monday. Wow.. that kinda pee'd us off. We called and left a voicemail Sunday night. No reply on monday, or tuesday, we call again on Wednesday and they tell us they can come the next day early in the morning

I didn’t expect to be able to get help on a Friday afternoon, but within two hours of me calling my backed up sewage pipes were cleaned out and the two very friendly men who did the work were on their way out. I really appreciated the quick, thorough, cheerful service!

Our hot water heater at the cottage decided to die, of course this was discovered on the Saturday of the long weekend. No problem apparently! I called Hoffmeyer’s, and even though we had only used them once prior, they sent someone out within an hour. We had hot water in no time. Thank you so much fo the GREAT customer service!
