Turned into a spam company pushing extra services. I have been trying to unsubscribe for over 6 months. Their unsubscribe website is broken or just ignores any request to actually unsubscribe. I have called customer support twice and just get told that they will forward the request.

I have a Checkpoint 640 appliance and decided to give the Fortinet FortiWiFi 60D a spin based off of feedback and comments from various IT admins on the web (usually in education or business forums comparing the two). I've been pretty satisfied with the Checkpoint, however, the GUI just doesn't seem as polished as Fortinet's and it lacks some customization options (like being able to customize the captive portal HTML code - you can only simply replace the logo with your own or hide Checkpoint's).

Terrible Technical Support! I called and somebody was supposed to call me back, one week after, I receive an email from them (well from noreply@fortinet.com) asking me if my issue was resolved! I could not even respond to them since no email was provided to that noreply email! Stay away from them, it's only a call center when you win loose most of your time. At this time, the handset I just bought hasn't been working since I bought it and I have no way of getting support.

Disclaimer: I admit I am spoiled by Cisco, DataDomain, Sonicwall, Juniper, and other companies that provide superior documentation and support. But this is no excuse for FortiNet's miserable excuse for customer service.

Summary of Fortinet: Terrible
A *formerly* valued reseller recommended FortiNet as a solid UTM appliance. I did a little research and bought a FortiGate 200B with FortiAnalyzer. I should have done more and I want to warn anyone who is considering purchasing anything from FortiNet.
Clumsy, non-intuitive interface.
