At age 8, when most boys are riding a bike or climbing on monkey bars, Jonathan Zerkee designed and built the playhouse you see here. With his parents blessing (and supervision) he borrowed his dad's tools and went to work. At the end of that long summer, the playhouse of his dreams was complete. Jonathan's parents would say a Master Builder is not born, they are self made.

We are known in the building industry and community for our passion for designing and building healthy high performance custom homes.
Jonathan Zerkee, President of Sonbuilt Custom Homes, was featured in this news story by BC Hydro on the increasing interest in owning a high efficiency home. Our local Abbotsford project was featured in Home Builder national Canadian Home Builder's Association magazine. This project encompasses many energy and water saving technologies including solar, waste water heat recovery, rainwater harvesting and geo exchange heating and cooling.
We sincerely believe that in order to stay in business, we need to remain competitive and fair with our pricing. In order for us to know the cost of a home, we need to have a completed set of designs with accurate square footage and a fairly strong idea of what you as the customer wish to have in your home.
