We took possession of a Randall Homes show home this summer! The process of buying a house with them was so easy, the entire company was so helpful leading up to our possession day. Jay (their relator) was so wonderful and allowed us to book appointments throughout the winter to come back and see the house over and over.
When time came to take possession both Matt and Mike from the service department were so helpful, they came on the day of possession and went through the entire house with us to ensure everything was perfect on possession day.

Moved into our dream home Feb282007 and off to the races. Numerous issues, some of the most severe was $3000 plus paid for non-existent network connections. Threw out the contractor when they wanted to rip open walls after moving in! Too many contractor\products issues to even start.
Latest issue for the purchase that keeps on, having home re-shingled after Randall provided defective shingles with class action lawsuit. Shingles lasted about 7 years before needing repeated repairs and replacements. During re-shingling found zero underlay.

Randall homes built our house in 2001. We are still residing in the home and are happy with it in general. The key long term issues we've found with the home are:
1) The sealed window panes eventually fail one by one. We've replaced most of the window panes in the house, some under warranty, some not. Some were replaced twice. We plan to replace all the windows with a higher quality grade.
2) Metal flashing was not installed in a 8 foot section were the garage roof meets the master bedroom wall. This was discovered just recently by our roofer last month. It is now a source of water leaks into

Randall Home is the most unethical home builder in Winnipeg. I would give them 0 stars if it was possible. The Randall sales agent looked me in the eyes and said that Randall Homes would return the Impact Fee if it was overturned in court. He lied to my face as Randall Homes has decided to keep the whole $10,000 impact fee all for themselves, and not return the impact fee to homeowners, who are the ones who actually paid it.
