Three crew members came out to our home to cut down two very large trees, one in our backyard and one in our front yard. They were so pleasant and friendly. They operated like a well-oiled machine. They let us watch while they took the trees. For every tree removal project we complete, and for every stump over 16 that we grind, Got Stump will donate 10% back to the City of Edmonton's Root for Trees program.

Got Stump got its start in 2004, when owner Brad Helm realized that he had something to offer stump removal customers. Having worked for years in the stump removal business, Brad saw what wasn't working, and jumped at the opportunity to make it right. His vision was to treat customers fairly and honestly, and give them the best possible stump removal service at a good price.
Unless you've got a punch card for ambulance rides or are OK with a tree trunk skylight, you'll want to leave tree removal to the experts. Preferably experts of the arborist variety. Severe surface roots can lift and damage concrete, ruin your lawn, and forget to file your taxes on time. Your tree will come down in 12" to 16" pieces, with larger pieces broken down into more manageable sizes.
In addition to having one of only a handful of arborists in the city that are certified by the International Society of Arboriculture, our tree removal team has many years of practical, hands-on experience bringing down trees safely and effectively. And bacon. They have lots of bacon. Got Stump's priority is always safety.
Often overlooked (like mom jeans at a thrift store), tree pruning and trimming is actually an important part of tree ownership. Many people don't know that tree pruning can be done during the winter season. In fact, winter is often the best time to prune your trees and shrubs; there are no leaves to contend with, and the tree has withdrawn into dormancy, where it reads lots of books and grows a long beard.
Because pruning and trimming causes stress on the plant, it's important that the job be done right. When it's done wrong, the plant can suffer a nervous breakdown, complete with chain smoking and calling their mothers constantly. Pruning a plant is about more than just cutting off a branch here and there; the quality of the cuts is important as well.
