We recently hired DeJager Roofing to redo our roof from shingles to steel.
The owner of this family run company came to quote the job in early March (still tons of snow on the ground) and take some measurements.
My first impression of him was he was honest and extremely knowledgeable and he seemed fair in his pricing.
We of course were a little sceptical only because it was a big job and we didn’t want to get stuck with a bad company. But Paul was so open and candid through the whole process and had the most excellent communication with us . We ran into some weather issues as we had so much

We contacted Paul DeJager for an estimate in the late Fall of 2019 for a spring 2020 roof replacement. Paul came to our place . My wife and I were very impressed with his professionalism and knowledge. Paul got up on the roof, measured, and took the time to discuss our options. We made our choices on shingle design and colour. Paul was able to give us a comprehensive, itemized quote. We made the choice to get booked in for the spring. Paul was in contact with us this spring and set a firm date and even the time of day he and his small crew would be on site. I can't say enough about the quality

I had Paul Dejager put on a roof in 2007 I went with Dejager over A Smart Roof based on his price being $600 less. Work was good, quick, clean site all good for 12 years. Year 12 the Royal Sovereign shingles were blowing off during 3 windy days. I still had a bag tucked away and see they were 25 year but bottom of the line with lowest wind rating. I contacted Dejager about warranty but nothing. I looked at friends who went with the Lanark singles that A Smart Roof used and they were all looking great. Al repaired the Dejager job 3 times and I finally told him to replace it. Lesson Learned you get
