Abbey Road Paving and Landscapes is a locally owned family business located in Victoria, BC. David Hinman, owner of Abbey Road, has over 15 years of training and work experience in landscape design, construction, masonry and stone paving. David works hands-on in all aspects of the business from design and planning to construction and general labor.
Abbey Road is Victoria's interlocking paving stone specialist. With over one million bricks laid, we are Victoria's leading paving contractor for new driveways, patios and walkways. Our extensive portfolio includes long term paving work for the CRD parks (galloping goose/lochside trail/parks), GVA municipalities, harbor authority and numerous commercial projects in the greater Victoria area including several landmark buildings.
Regardless of scale, all projects start with a solid landscape design plan. Whether it's a simple free hand sketch or a detailed CAD design, we listen to your needs and work directly with you to design and build a space that defines your vision. We always do our absolute best to help guide and work with you on the selection of suitable building materials and architectural elements.

Abbey Road Paving and Landscape replaced our patio which was a cracked, mossy and very old . The exposed aggregate was removed and was replaced by New York series slabs.
The Abbey Road crew was professional, respectful and extremely skilled in the work they did. David Hinman, the owner, was attentive and helpful in the planning stages and an excellent communicator throughout.
The project was completed in the timeline that was promised and the final result was/ is excellent.
We recommend Abbey Road Paving and Landscape unreservedly.

We had a fantastic experience hiring David and his team to do some landscaping at our co-owned duplex. Our job primarily included excavation (e.g. driveway, soil, yard waste) and patio/walkway installation (i.e. pavers). The main reasons I wouldn't hesitate to hire Abbey Road again in the future are:

An excellent experience! David at Abbey Road began with thoughtful design advice for our new interlock brick patio and completed the job in a cost-effective, professional and timely manner. The work crew was hard working, polite and friendly, the work site was kept tidy throughout and was thoroughly cleaned up at the end of the project. David and his crew were exceptional to work with. Obviously an experienced team. I saw Abbey Road working on our street a few months ago and subsequently went to see the job when it was finished. I was very impressed and we asked David to give a quote for an extensive renovation of our landscaping. He excavated and prepped and installed pavers for our back patio, side walk and replaced the driveway. They also added new drain clean-outs to patios and strip drain to driveway. Exceptional!! Just had David and his crew demo an old aggregate patio and sidewalk with beautiful patterned tile. I have never seen such a hard working crew in my life. The results were stunning. David and his team did an amazing job on our front patio. They completely transformed a garden of weeds and gravel to a beautifully modern space with paved patio, cedar planters and rock garden. David provided recommendations for plantings that would suit our design and would be easy for us to maintain - very important to us as first time gardeners! We recently had a patio built by Abbey Road and had done a lot of research before choosing a company. The whole process was made so much easier by Dave and his amazing crew! Dave was incredibly knowledgeable, provided an accurate quote, started the work earlier than expected (!!), finished on time and on budget!
