We are proud to offer Calgarians the tightest screened soil as our competitors use larger, 5/8 screens. Our high quality soil is easy to work with since most of the debris, including soil clumps, large rocks, and roots have been removed.
Soil Kings is pleased to offer this completely natural mulch made from an aromatic blend of shredded pine and spruce bark. This mulch naturally retains soil moisture, reducing water consumption. During hot summers, it insulates your plants by controlling soil temperature, keeping roots viable. It also deters weed growth when applied at a thickness of greater than two inches.
An attractive rock that is small to medium-sized (most pieces are about a half-inch) and angular or fractured. It is often used for dog runs because it is a bit smaller than most washed rock. A fractured, mid-sized (about 1 inch) rock that is used for a variety of purposes including weeping tile, dog runs, drainage, along the side of houses and general landscaping.
Next day or later delivery is available. You pick the day! We can sometimes accommodate same-day delivery, so call and ask if that would be most convenient for you. We drop the material wherever you want, but please ensure there is enough space for our truck. We have a minimum charge of $40 for any soil product when picking up at our yard. For example, if you pick up 1 or 2 cubic yards of screened topsoil, we will charge you $40. This is the cost for the product. There is no charge for loading it onto your truck or trailer. Please Note: the $40 fee applies to each and every trip, each time we load.

I have used SoilKings twice now to order decorative rock and have been thoroughly impressed by the service, pricing and overall experience. First the pricing I found to be hundreds of dollars cheaper than the other guys(that was one big reason why I decided to go with them). Gave referrals to friends and they too have used soilkings for ordering rock for their landscaping projects.
The process was easy to order, and delivery for next day is such a welcomed option.
I did have one issue that occurred, but Murray and the guys where quick to resolve and I can’t stress enough the customer service

The guys at Soil King were super friendly and helpful with directing me around the yard. I really appreciated that they didn't give me a hard time for coming in 5 minutes before the end of the day - their willingness to keep open long enough to get me loaded is a huge help to starting out the next day hitting the ground running... thanks guys!

Don’t waste your time going to these guys for anything. First they advertise a certain size of stone but when it comes. it was mixed with all different sizes. Then when we asked for our money back they charged us for everything. They are a bunch of crooks! Go to Burnco if you want the right product and professional and honest service!

I decided to order from Soil Kings as their pricing per cubic yard is very competitive. At the time they had advertised 10% off which I forgot to add. When I called in the next day to ask if they would honour that promotion, I was told yes, and then it was never added, even though I had ample time to cancel my order and do it again adding the discount. I had requested a phone call prior to delivery as is an option listed on their site. On the day of delivery there was no call or text in advance. I ordered their 70/30 garden mix. We ordered 2.5 yds of what we believed was premium soil suitable for raised vegetable gardens. The soil is far from suitable for this application and we are in the process of removing the top 1/3 from our raised beds to swap out with premium vegetable mixes/compost. So disappointed after so much hard work creating our garden beds. The service was excellent, as well as, pricing but this soil is not, in our view, for raised vegetable beds. I even keep picking out the stones as I water.

We ordered 2 cubic yards of the “Premium Garden Mix” and what we got looks nothing like what is pictured online - what we received is full of hard grey clay chunks and dries out very quickly turning very hard and then cracking. Sure doesn’t look like the nice soft dark soil pictured on their website. 👎

This is the second year of me ordering from Soil Kings! I can't say enough about the amazing quality of their product. I ordered the premium garden mix and it smelled fresh was rich and dark, just the same as last year. All the neighbours complimented me last year on how great my flowers looked. 5 stars!

Tip: When you pull into the yard, ensure you are pulled over so as not to block access. They also do not provide bags, which I agree with.

I was recommended to Soil Kings by a friend as I am cleaning up my garden beds and needed some mulch. I stopped in this morning and they were very busy, but I was given excellent customer service by the owner himself, Terry. They had exactly what I was looking for and I was in and out super fast. I ordered 4 yards of garden mix. According to the website, it is 70% screened loam and 30% compost. The product I received was 20% gravel and 20% clay. Absolutely the worst dirt I have ever purchased. When I contacted soil kings about the issue, the answer I received (from a co-owner) was “well we would need to charge $400/yd if they were to remove the gravel. I can only assume they screened the dirt with a chain link fence. Avoid their dirt at all cost. Complete garbage.

I bought top soil 6 years ago from Soil kings and was happy. So this year I and a couple of neighbors ordered some top soil /loam to add nutrition to the lawn from same place. But the quality looks very different from years ago. Lots of small pieces of particles either some white unknown stuff, or from clay.
I called them, they quick refund me, but won't take the soil away or replace it. We understand it's more costly and harder to remove it. But the quality is really not satisfying. I never seen top soil like this.
I hope they have better quality control and check in future.
