Ice dams occur when the snow melts near the ridgelines of warm roofs (roofs without adequate ventilation). As the water runs down the roof to the overhang, it cools and freezes. If the snow continues this melt and freeze process, an ice dam can form that can seep under the shingles, through the decking and into the house.
I had Distinguished Roofing do my roof late last year. They were very professional, on time, and on budget. When they left they did an excellent job of cleaning up. There was very little disruption to our home life while the work was being done. I have recommended them to other people who needed their roof repaired, and they have been very pleased with their work.

I am an essential hospital worker and had my Roof replaced during Covid by the Roof Pros. My roof has leaked since. They initially came out multiple times to look at it, but only because I withheld payment. Now 10 months later it is leaking again. The office # is disconnected and the contractor will not take my calls. Sad this company would not honor the warranty on their work.

We had a great experience with hiring Roof Pros and they have done a great job for us on our 25 year old house. Marty was forthright in his quote and the results were done to our satisfaction in a professional and timely manner. The on-site crew of Jesse and his mates were very professional, courteous and through; we believe they did a great job and cleanup was exceptional (thanks again guys!). We would be happy to recommend Roof Pros to our friends and neighbors. Communications with clients could be improved.

I got my roof done in September, When they arrive very efficient it was 2 days I was so excited as it looked so nice . But.... March came and so did the rain . I have lived in my house for 25 years never ever had problems with my roof . Now my roof is leaking they destroyed the flashing and never replaced it . We have called Marty numerous times and he either doesn’t answer or he will and say he will be here tomorrow and tomorrow never comes . CROOKS, THIEVES,AND LIARS. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED.

Absolute quality work and the best customer service I've experienced in a long time. I highly recommend this company to help you put a new roof on your house. The crew showed up on time and promptly got to work. When complete, the year was cleaned. The following day, one of the guys came back to finish a few things and did a second sweep of the yard for any debris and nails. About a month or so later, I contacted the company again with regards to a small issue and it was dealt with the next day in the highest priority. Also, there price was second to none. I was going to ask a friend to do my roof

Fantastic experience getting my roof repaired by these guys. They sent a free no obligation quote in the mail and no aggressive sales tactics. They offer financing and from my first phone call to them to having the roof installed and inspected was 4 days! Very professional, friendly, and roof looks great!

Very happy with this company and would recommend to all. I called last week and had a rep come to my house to look a a potential leak I thought I had they were great. They had a roofer come and inspect and do a patch until the snow and Ice was of the roof. Did not charge extra for the repair and the new price for my roof was very fair. Very happy with there business

I had a roof installed by Marty Sherwood's company about three years ago. The roof came with a five year workmanship warranty. This spring we experienced leaking from the roof and contacted them in March. Company roofers visited twice over the course of two months. They determined that half the roof, and all the flashing, was not installed properly. I have been calling and texting the company many times asking for them to repair my roof under warranty. More often than not they do not reply to the texts, answer the phone, or return voicemail. It's been almost six months since the initial contact

Had a great experience with Marty and Roof Pros. Got a letter in the mail with a firm quote for our house roof that was a great deal and we had Marty in to add our garage to that. Also at 30% lower than anyone else on the market. Signed the contract on a Tuesday and work was done on the following Sunday. In and out in one day. Stripped our roof bare, added up to 3 sheets of plywood to replace deterioration. Added extra roof vents and replaced old ones. Great looking work and 2 weeks later still haven’t seen a single nail or piece of debris in the yard. Highly recommend.

There is no one item that The Roof Pros failed on. I have been thinking about my roof for a good couple of years. To redo the roof is expensive, so I constantly needed to defer it. The Roof Pros send me a pre-worked quotation delivered to us a few weeks prior, with detailed costing and the option to finance at low monthly instalment. That changed things. On connecting telephonically, they confirmed my measurements. I and we were extremely impressed with the great length of effort gone into doing the quotation without even having asked for it. Had called because I received a free quote in the mail. They were able to book me in within a couple of days which was great! The tear down took a full day and it happened to be one of the hottest days on record in Calgary so I appreciated they stayed and finished the work. They came back after a day to install the shingles, quick and speedy work, workmanship is top notch! Clean up could have been more thorough, found a few nails in the driveway and deck. Overall extremely happy with their service, very professional and cost was competitive with other quotes I received from other places.
