King Star paved my driveway last year and I paid them $500 more than another competitor just because I saw bad reviews about the after sales service of their competitor. A week later, I noticed water accumulates in a small pond. After calling several times, a guy called Angelo came to check and agreed that this unacceptable and he promised to fix the problem but he never came back despite my numerous calls.
This year I noticed some holes in the driveway, I guess there was dirt (wires, wood,....see attached photos) with the asphalt mix that they used, so I called Angelo and he told me he left the

Contracted May 16, 2021 to remove old asphalt driveway, supply & install new asphalt driveway & salesman said it would be done soon approximately 2 weeks with 24 hours notice, June 2 told another 2 weeks out, June 16 told another 2 weeks, June 24 promised would start after holiday weekend, July 6 at 10:00 p.m. text received next day would sub-grade driveway & homeowner already had appt on July 7 booked so not home when work done, July 17 told paving in next 2 weeks & done July 28. Crew were very good & salesman arrived as work finished & paid in full. No one parked on driveway for next 6 days until

Started out great... met in March was promised 30 days, they came to regrade take down 2 inches in April, cut coax - didn't check for wires. Then came the deflections, promises and delays, spending 3 extras months of chasing. No communication no schedule date, I had to keep hounding- someone that keeps saying next week or we will be there tomorrow (then no show) instead of just giving a date and sticking to it is tiring. Crew is nice, but tire ruts in a brand new job with no traffic on it ... Find someone else whom will set a firm schedule, won't make you chase them, then backs up the work. I should

Called this company for a quote. Their rep showed up, we looked at the job and then when he realized that this was a interlocking stone (and not a cement pad) job - almost 1000 sq ft - the rep left saying that I have to get you a catalogue and measure the area and that he would return. From then on - crickets. Why does this company advertise in the back of the local paper and they can't even get you a quote. I can see where the ratings are poor for this company. If they didn't want the job the rep could have just said it. They leave you hanging without a call back. Tread carefully if you use these

Had them to tear up existing drive way and repaved. Left the old dirt on my front lawn and refused to remove it. Asphalt started to crack within 3 months. Called repeatedly and got no response. Finally got through after 2 months. Said they would come to look. Did not show up and stopped taking my calls again. Do not recommend using this company

Hired for removal of old driveway and repaving. Driveway is shared with a neighbour that re-paved his half a few years back. I knew there would be a noticeable seam. I didn't haggle or negotiate - I simply asked for new pavement and to ensure the lines are straight. I had asked the owner and multiple foreman on site during excavation/preparation work. Was assured it would be nice and straight - multiple times.
Unfortunately, day of paving, I had work obligations (since I only had half day notice regarding new asphalt). Not impressed with at least matching levels of seam or sloping in certain areas
