As a company built on family values, our story can't begin anywhere but with the Nickel family themselves. In 1966, as a family of seven, the Nickel family immigrated to Canada from Paraguay with two suitcases and $250 in their collective pockets. Needless to say, this set the stage for the values that built Nickels Cabinets: hard work, honesty, and integrity.

I wrote a one star review in 2010 and have just noticed that Nickels responded to my review. In their response they said that every effort was made to repair the issues, including site visits and offers that were refused by me and my husband. Unfortunately, this is not correct. After one year of calling them and my cupboard contractor, Nickels did send someone out. He took photos of the issues and assured me that they would fix the issues, and that I would hear from them soon. After four months of weekly contacting my cupboard contractor, who eventually contacted Nickels, I was told that "Nickels

My expensive kitchen cabinets are now six years old. We are out of town for more than half the year. Only 2 people live in our home, and we have been very careful to take care of them. The finish is now terrible. About 3 years ago I contacted the cupboard contractor who contacted Nickel, because I was very concerned about the shiny spots all around the handles and in other places as well. A rep. from Nickel finally came, after repeated calls, about a year ago. I was told by their representative that he could see why I was not happy - he took photos and said he would get back to me when he spoke
