I once asked them to design duct system for my old house. They asked me to provide them the floor plan, the elevation and the cross-section info of the house, the wall insulation values, the R-value of my window, the furnace model and its BTU, bathroom exhaust fan info, air exchanger info, and etc.
They told me that they will use those data as input to their computer software to get an output, and give it to me as their HVAC design. What a GIGO (garbage in and garbage out) process!

Used Design Experts for a full home HVAC design. Matt was very responsive and I received a very comprehensive HRV design and heat load calculation. Turn around was within a couple days, which i would consider very top notch service. Would recommend to anyone building a custom home. Do not trust your contractor to provide heat load summaries, get it done right, and you will be able to significantly reduce the size of your heating equipment for lower purchase cost and improved operating efficiency!

They don't respect their contract obligations. I have paid for a full house HVAC design and I needed later to do some modification to be done to the house. They have refused to do the modification even though based on the contract they must do the modification for a fee! I have contacted them several times but they claim they are busy and can't do my changes !!! I don't recommend this company to anyone!
