In 1994 daughter Jackie and son-in-law Joe took over the business and moved Elmira to 2100 Oxford East where it is located today. I cannot say enough great things about this company. I had a fireplace installed 20 years ago and another installed today. The workmanship was amazing and I got an upgraded version of what I ordered at no extra cost. They had to make an extra trip to my place which is an hour away and they did not charge me. Probably the best company I have had to deal with period. And the communication from their office amazing.

I bought a gas insert for my fireplace recently. I visited the showroom, was impressed with info and service I got from the lady working behind the counter. Kyle visited our house and measured everything up, again excellent. Cody and his crew installed it, great job and even sealed my chimney cap. This company from start to finish is awesome, I highly recommend them. A lot of businesses could learn from their customer service

Our (1998 Pacific Energy) gas insert that was our sole heat source at our cottage finally quit. As I was
rushed to find a replacement, I was overwhelmed with a multitude of choices. I bounced around London going from store to store trying to find a economical/ standing pilot/ hardwire to thermo set up. It seemed almost impossible to find. Elmira stove works was my last stop and one of the only companies that had exactly what I was looking for. I needed it for heating, not as a decorative piece that I only turned on once a month. I spoke to Joe (Owner) on a few occasions and he was more then

We were in the market for a wood insert and called them for a quote...twice....The owner then refuses both times and we have to drive to store. (Nearest competitor in Fergus visited us and gave us quote - we now regret not signing with them) we also were misled and important info withheld from us, so ultimately we got the wrong model installed...when install crew came, the one fellow working on roof was working on the wrong flue of chimney...our water heater raincap and liner was yanked out and destroyed. They DID however fix it, though instilling us with little confidence in them, and receiving

Every single individual I dealt with was professional, knowledgable and skilled in the craft. Installers offered great suggestions. Store staff were prompt in returning calls. The final product is beautiful. Moreover, installers respected my space (took off shoes, cleaned up when finished). I also loved that it was a 'one and done' organization. I did not have to coordinate electricians or other professionals. Elmira did it all.
