We have nothing but positive things to say about Urban Fireplaces. Dealing with Johnny in sales was a breeze. The installers, Dan and his brother (Zach) were super professional and did an outstanding job.
And we LOVE the actual fireplace although the dog loves it the most. We cut the use of our central gas furnace significantly. We basically only used the furnace in the winter to warm up in the morning and then the fireplace took over until bed. Our only regret is not doing this earlier!

We bought a fireplace that was replacing an insert in an older home and was going to need some modifications to get it to fit. The fireplace installer was great. He showed up on time and really went above and beyond. The person who was in the store when we first went in was quite knowledgeable.
However, the shippers dropped the ball 3 times – sending wrong parts, or not sending the parts all in some cases.
The contractor they referred us to over promised and under delivered. It was hard to get him to show up and on one occasion, he showed up 3 days later than he said he would be there.

They have helped me several times over the past few years and I have referred several friends to this business. The feedback from my friends has been totally positive. We have worked with Urban Fireplaces on several projects; our developments and ones for clients.
They have consistently provided great products, workmanship and service.
Most recently, we were in a pinch and needed servicing help with a fireplace we installed for a client a couple years previously.
When we called in for help, their team member Chantelle V. exceeded expectations:
-- by swiftly sourcing the specifications of the fireplace
-- having excellent communication skills on the phone as she described what needed to be done
-- swiftly emailing us manual diagrams to ensure were were well

Excellent service and knowledgeable staff. The very small complaint I had was when we opened the box, it was the wrong model. And we had contractor with tools ready to go but had to ask him to come back due to the exchange time.
*Update: we just installed the fireplace today (after one week of picking up). And realized that there were couple scratches or missing paint on the inside of the glass. I think it’s manufacture defect but would have expected it to be perfect when it’s fresh out of the box.
