To apply for our scholarship you need to be a student enrolled at a university, college or trade school in the USA or Canada and submit an article consisting of 500-1000 words about your own experience of hot tubs, backyard fun, etc.
This guide will help you measure hot tub and spa covers so that they will fit perfectly. Even if your hot tub manufacturer has your model on file, take the time to measure to be sure. We have seen too many customers be given the wrong hot tub dimensions. After you have a lip to lip measurement you may add up to 1/2 on both the length and width.

Order now in progress since mid October and has been shipped. I am getting a total run around from the trucking company and they are not answering any of my emails anymore. Cover Guy is also not responding to me. I will be canceling the order at the end of the week unless received. They need to do better than this and use a reputable freight company. Proceed with caution if you do business with them.

Please people, do not order from this company. I made the mistake of ordering a second cover after a defective first one. The company is impossible to get in touch with. NO customer service whatsoever! After telling me that I would get a 40% discount for my warranty, they upcharged me on extra's I didn't want. Even when they sent my bill and charged my credit card, a week later they re-charged my card an extra $50 telling me they made a mistake. I ordered my second cover in October with an expected 4-6 week delivery. It's been now Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan and heading into February. My math says around

Do not order from The Cover Guy! We placed an order back in August and 6 months later (now end of January) my order still not been shipped. They made sure to take the full amount from my bank account back in August when I placed the order. I'm a returning customer and have never had this problem before. I understand that materials are not readily available due to COVID shortages but I would have NEVER placed the order if I knew upfront that it would take at least 6 months for my order to arrive. I sent an email to customer service and received a generic statement about the lack of materials

First it took several months to get the product. Within a few weeks, the hydraulic lift cover piston broke. They will not answer any phone calls! I received a response after sending in photos that it would be 7-10 days.
It has been 43 days and I cannot get an email response on when or if it will be resolved. I offered to pay for the replacement part myself. The cover Blew down with a wind gust and hit me in the head! Customer service is a joke.

My initial review was not very favorable. After reaching out to the company with my concerns, the owner personally reached out to me and my wife to apologize for the long delay in delivery. He explained that the delivery times are much longer than what they typically expect from their shipping company.
All together it took 3 months to receive my cover. My advice to others is to be ready to wait for delivery, but know that you will receive a quality product once it has arrived.

Every disappointed in the service ordered a cover in September an December still didn’t have the cover paid 875$ the day ordered it an when I email you four weeks later I was told I didn’t reply to the email about the size ( that went to spam) when I replied with all the same measurements that I had given in the initial order. I was told middle of November for delivery.. beginning of December still no cover was told due to Covid-19 orders were delayed. Poor excuse. Don't even call them. I've been trying to get in contact with someone from this company for 1+ week. I've called, emailed with someone back and forth, and still to this day, NO CALL. NO HELP. Take your business elsewhere. Trust me. Don't waste your time on a company that doesn't give a f***. Also, now that I see the reviews, seems that the quality is bad and customer support and experiences are terrible.

Three stars for sending a cover with a great fit and the front end of the transaction. A few years later and I'm getting blamed for this tear. They said I burned it with the heat lamp I have on my deck? Anyways this cover is trash now and they the cover guy won't cough up any money for this faulty cover. Oh well.

I wish I had read the reviews about this company before purchasing a hot tub cover. Bought a cover from this company for my Jacuzzi hot tub as it was a good amount less expensive than the OEM ones and I was told by Katy from the company that it is just as good. I regret that decision as I will pay more in water costs than the difference in price.
I quickly noticed that I lost a lot of water from evaporation despite not using the hot tub and the cover being down. I contacted the company and spoke with Amanda. She requested video and pictures of the issue. I finally caught the steam from it on video

Very deceitful and intentionally unethical. They send me a defective cover for my $399.00. I sent them proof. The rep emailed me back saying, yes, it is faulty but then I got escalated to a manager and fought for half a year as they said they wouldn't give me more than $100 back. The cover couldn't actually even be used. Then they dropped me and decided they would become entirely unresponsive. You can't get through on the phone unless buying something. They did everything in their power to make sure I could never speak to an actual human being and eventually wore me down. DO NOT

Ordered a cover in early October. Early November I was told it was in production, great! But... now it is almost mid December and customer service won't respond to my question as to where my cover is at. Should not take more than two days to respond. The temps are dropping in NJ and I am at their mercy. I guess my cover must be in the North Pole with Santa and the little elves are slowly stitching it together. Maybe when I actually hear back from them and see my cover I can change this review to a more positive one. I'm starting to wish I ordered with the other company I had in mind.

I do NOT recommend this company at all. Product arrived 2 1/2 months after order placed; I had to contact freight company myself. Product arrived and did NOT have ANY of the upgrades that I paid for; skirt length, gazebo handles. Now I am told that they will NOT refund my money because they can add these on. So they expect me to ship this back and have them correct their mistake. I WANT A REFUND and take back your product! This has been an absolute nightmare dealing with them-they never answer the phone and really do not belong in business. I have filed a formal complaint with the BBB.

The website originally stated three weeks to ship. I ordered on September 28th, they charged my credit card on October 5th, it is now December 15th and it still has not shipped. After several emails back and forth, me requesting an estimated ship date and them skirting around the question, they are now telling me sometime in January. So at this point, living in a cold region, I will not be able to fill my hot tub until spring. They offered me a cover cap for the delay. For what? My non-existent cover? The same day I received that email, they posted on their Facebook page that it takes 4-6 weeks

These guys are scammers. I ordered and paid for a cover from them on September 5th, and both the order and the invoice clearly stated that shipping would be free. Several weeks later, they contacted me, and said they would need an additional $150 in order to ship the cover. When I refused, they just sat on the order, and now three months later on December 7th as I write this review, I still have not received my cover. Do not trust or buy from this fraudulent vendor.

Bought a cover about a year ago and the seems came apart. Contacted customer service and they said it was because of the chemicals I was using. Hmm the last cover I had, original cover lasted 5 years before the top started to wear and I thought I should get something new. Wrong move $450 for a cover that lasted a year. "Rip Off" literally. Seeing a few of these on Yelp about you Cover Guy, assume others that are not taking the time to make it known....

We ordered in June, received our cover in September. The TAT that The Cover Guy indicated for shipping was correct. But then the shipping company was horrible! It took them 2 months to deliver from Brea, CA to Vancouver, WA. The shipping company was either non responsive or lied, just depended on what week we were contacting them. As my husband said, he could have biked it on a trailer in less time than it took to deliver the cover. The cover looks great so far, no complaints - just the shipping was VERY frustrating.

My cover took about 13 weeks to arrive. They will not respond to calls or emails so don't bother. The delivery driver dropped off the wrong one and he said they are all the same. I had to plead with him to go back on his route and pick mine up. He dropped it off at the wrong address. So at least two people would have received the wrong covers. The driver did go back on his route and grabbed the right one I ordered. Thank God. Cover is actually pretty good quality but the customer service is the worst I have ever experienced in my life.

I ordered my cover on September 5th. I screwed up the order (my fault, not theirs) and they caught the problem and notified me that there were inconsistencies in my order. I spoke to a very nice someone on the phone who walked me through the process and got my order going again. A couple weeks later there was a beautiful hot tub cover in a box on my driveway! I installed it in about 5 minutes and it looks great. I couldn't be happier with the process and the product.

AVOID THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO THROW YOUR MONEY AWAY. Just read their numerous complaints with the Better Business Bureau (BBB.org). They advertise a perfect fit but don't deliver it. Then they tell you to sell the improperly sized cover they shipped you and they'll make you another at a small discount. Then they stop answering your emails and phone calls. It's a TOTAL disregard for the customer once they have your money. They refuse to acknowledge that they made my cover with the incorrect fold and want me to buy another cover!!!

I hope people think to check Yelp before placing an order!! Four years ago, I gave these guys a chance. They weren't expensive but my product took a month to ship, with no updates. Finally, I receive it and I email them about how poor the quality looks. I told them it seems really light compared to other covers I've owned and the stitching doesn't seem robust. I actually bet that the stitching would fail first because I could see light through the seams. They responded to assure me the styrofoam is stronger than I think, even though it's light and don't worry about the

I would give a negative rating if I could. We purchased a cover for our spa last year and have had nothing but problems. The cover had issues within the first couple of months. They didn't listen to the issue and just sent a foam piece which never resolved our leaky cover issue, it is literally leaking rain water into the Spa, which is causing major issues with our spa water. We have now been requesting help since June, we closed up our spa for the winter and put a cover over our cover because we didn't want water leaking into our spa and freezing the lines.

The cover was well-made, and as ordered, except for four child safety straps. Apparently, they were included in the package, although, they don't fit the spa and I would have requested they be omitted/reconfigured had the information on the Web site been more clear.
