With a foundation of six generations of wool producers and handmade carpet manufacturers, the Shrestha family have an established connection with every aspect of the rug design and crafting process.
We understand that it can be challenging to envision a carpet in your space. Sometimes something that we think wouldn't match with a room, ends up being the piece that pulls everything together. Therefore we offer loans of our full size rugs, as well as samples and colour pom-poms, this way you can try out designs or colours in your space.

The process of creating our Shambala design began with drawings done by hand. Inspired by the luscious and bountiful illusive Shambala kingdom, located in the mountains of the Himalayas. Shambala has been made with Himalayan sheep wool that has been hand-carded and hand-spun. The wool has been dyed with natural dyes from madder, saffron, tea, indigo and lac.

We purchased three of Amala’s carpets over the past few years and we are just thrilled with their quality and resilience. The Aria is just beautiful and luxurious, and our kitchen runner takes all kinds of abuse and simply wipes clean. Today we received the Yakpo hall runner and it is perfectly built with a slight sheen that makes what is an otherwise dull hallway feel like a place to hang out. Shan and her staff are charming, pleasant, patient and kind and will find the perfect product for your home. Our only regret is not having enough space in our condo to buy more...Highly recommended.

Wasn’t aware of this place until we went to the Design Show and saw some of their beautiful silk carpets on display. Since we were undecided which carpets would work best they loaned us 4 carpets to try out in our space. We ended up buying 3 of the 4 as they were exactly what we had envisioned for our look. And for visiting them at the show they gave us a discount. Nice. These are high quality carpets with unique but elegant designs. Excellent service from Aerin through out the process.

After over a year of having the rug in direct sun, there has been no indication of bleaching. I have a dog as well, and repeated vacuuming (twice weekly with a Miele at full power) did not deteriorate the carpet in the least bit. Service was impeccable, with a customer first approach - I had a house visit with the samples I picked. Definitely a good product and good experience. 5/5
