In 1968, York Roofing Limited, an industrial, commercial and institutional roofing company in north Toronto, was founded by Mr. Robert Burtney and the company is celebrating 50 years in the roofing business in 2018. York Roofing Limited also takes pride in being an active member of both the Canadian Roofing Contractors Association (CRCA) and the Ontario Industrial Roofing Contractors Association (OIRCA).
The business was recently presented with a plaque in honour of being a 50 year member of CRCA. York Roofing Limited still operates out of the original 10,000 square foot building in Concord (North Toronto) where the main company focus is to partner with various Consulting Firms as a General or Subcontractor and to support several In House Clients, many with long-term maintenance contracts.
York Roofing Limited is a union shop. We have several experienced, long-term employees on our full time staff and when required, extra manpower is sourced from the Sheet Metal Workers International Association Local 30 (SMWI-L30), which guarantees that we get the most senior union members available.
