My husband and I recently moved to Saskatoon and were looking for a home builder - we are SO happy we came across Barry Homes. They helped us find a lot and built our very first home! Not only did they help us find a place to stay in the meantime, but they were so patient and understanding with us (we are first time homeowners). I never would have dreamt the process would go so smoothly - honestly I was expecting so many hidden and extra costs but the Barry family was up front and worked within our budget. You hear so many horror stories about contractors but I can't speak enough to the hospitality

I've drafted several projects for Barry Homes. They usually build near Blackstrap and have to build on the high slope bank which makes the projects challenging so building normal houses is no problem. I also did a project with them to be located at Elk Ridge. So they may be willing to travel a bit for your project.

We had a good experience with Barry Homes. A storm ripped some shingles off of our roof. The owner himself came out to check and give us a quote. It did take a couple weeks to get it done, but we were not in a rush as he had confirmed nothing would leak. Happy with the fix and will use the company for our renovations we need done soon.

In November 2015 I was contracted Barry Homes Inc.to build a fence for his client.
I did demo of old fence, and supplied materials and have built new fence.
I was supposed to get paid within 2 weeks from completion. Turned out that Barry Homes got paid from the client and I didn't get a single dollar.
It's October 2019 so 4 years later still no money- not after a settlement he signed in court, not after Court Judgement against him!
Greg Barry thinks he's above the law and does what he wants.. There are even 2 new companies that he opened !
Goes to home shows in the area like nothing happened

Barry Homes is the builder to chose if you want something beyond typical cookie-cutter homes. They provide unique floor plans that can be customized and also offer interior design consulting to help ensure you're making good decisions. I never give 5 stars since nobody is perfect, so 4 stars is the highest I give. Barry Homes is professional, high quality, and reliable.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Barry Homes Developments Inc.. I am a local interior designer who sought out this company after walking one of their models. They offer great floors plans that would suite a growing family, newly wed, or empty nester. Lexis made every effort to get us exactly what we wanted in our house and delivered on time and on budget. + We never imagined that we could build a house but Greg made that a reality. They asked what our budget was and helped us through process to stay in the budget. Our house turned out amazing. Their suggestions on colors and materials were so helpful. If you wanted to take out a window move a wall always upfront about the cost. I would recommend Barry Homes to anyone needing a new home. They really treat you like family and always answer questions.

Building with Barry Homes was the worst experience of our life. We would not recommend building with Barry Homes to anyone. Nothing during the build process went smoothly. We had a total of four liens placed on our title. We had to negotiate through lawyers to get Barry Homes to pay their subtrades so we could move our construction mortgage to a conventional mortgage. It took arbitration to remove the fourth lien on our title. Currently there are still deficiencies remaining on our house in which Barry Homes has not repaired, and a one year walkthrough has yet to be completed (should have been
