These systems are designed to heat and cool the interior environment while filtering and circulating the interior air, causing the components of the system to become filled with contaminants such as hair, dander and other contaminants that can be a nuisance to our bodies. We highly recommend air duct cleaning when installing a new system, which will help keep your new system working as intended.
Are your clothing not drying? Before you decide to purchase a new dryer, check and clean your dryer ducting. The number one reason dryers stop drying is a plugged dryer duct! The dryer ducts become clogged with lint and can cause the dryer to overheat and burn out the heating element. Fires can start in the dryer duct potentially causing significant damage to your home.
You may not be thinking of your heat pump condenser coils as part of your spring cleaning tasks - we recommend adding it to the list. The heat pump utilizes a fan to release heat absorbed by the refrigerant. When the fan is on, air flows into your coils/fins, pulling dirt and debris in as well. When grass clippings, "cotton, " dirt, leaves, and other debris gather on the coils, airflow and energy efficiency are significantly reduced.
We recommend replacing your air filters in your heating/cooling system on a regular basis, which helps filter fine particulate entering your system and also helps the efficiency. Dustin and Devon arrived at the allotted time and were both masked and courteous.
Dustin was able to answer all my questions and was able to make adjustments to some billing changes (my landlord and I were paying for this). We added the dryer vent cleaning for $50. Dustin has 7-8 years of experience so I felt confident that I was getting good information.
I would have appreciated knowing up front that disinfection was not included but I did it as an add on. (Would not have been necessary with normal maintenance but these heat vents haven’t been cleaned in many years).

This is the first time that I've had to consider and book this kind of maintenance and I'm so glad I chose Coastal because I couldn't have received better service! While the men were here, I also asked for an inspection and cleanout of an adjacent vent. They happily obliged and noted that there was no need to clean the vent - and no extra charge!

I would highly recommend and I didn't even get to use the service! They were so honest - they came out to do a duct cleaning and told me that the ducts did not need servicing, and they wouldn't feel right charging for a service that I didn't need. I will DEFINITELY reach out to them again when the ducts get dirty.

This company is an absolute dream to work with! I had never before had my ducting, and furnace cleaned before when I bought my house.. This year I found it was time and thank god I did! Devon and his work partner ( can't remember his name.. ) Came on time and were fast and efficient and notified me of everything they were doing and when they were done, Devon showed me what work they had done and the tool to do the job, and I was floored and ecstatic to see the work! Great professional service as always. Dustin and Devon did a great job, thanks Jason for being on time, and for making it work around our schedule. The guys wore masks and we felt safe!! I have referred Coastal Power to several friends and neighbours and ALL HAVE BEEN VERY HAPPY and referred them again to their own friends. For our duct cleaning we interacted with Jason, Devon, and Dustin; we were beyond impressed with the service and professionalism from all! These men were able to work promptly and with our crazy schedules. They went above and beyond and the pricing was totally fair. We even received follow up calls ensuring everything was to our liking. I manage a feral cat rescue. Recently several adult feral cats made a break for it and ended up trapped in the heating ducts in the basement. Jason and two of his employees came out and worked diligently to open up and dismantle sections of the duct work to retrieve the cats. One cat remained uncaught and Jason returned after hours and stayed on his own time until we got that last cat. These guys were amazing! I will be getting them back to repair and reinstall the duct work and to give it all a good cleaning at that time. After what I have seen of these guys I am expecting an excellent professional
