Excellent service from the two technicians who came to my condo to address my heating issue. Turns out the issue was primarily with the thermostat (Nest) but they got it set up properly and working perfectly now. They even connected a c-wire so the Nest can draw power from the source rather than relying on batteries (which drain rapidly). Very friendly and professional service. Creative problem-solvers. Thanks!

I was billed $220 for a 5 minute job. Putting some water in my laundry room floor drain! Included was a Truck charge $50 when the truck was already there for the Condo building issue. When I called to get clarification, the woman on the other end was very rude and did not want to hear my concern. She stated pretty much , it was too bad and take it up somewhere else. The tech did not advise me there was going to be a fee, and really why would there be for 5 minutes!
I would never recommend this service to anyone. It’s truly taking advantage of someone. Well not me! It could have been different

My mixing valve went out and I've been trying to get it fixed ASAP for obvious reasons. I called Optimum on 9/26 to see when they could get me in and they said it could be as soon as 10/1 and to look out for an estimate & confirmed appointment. On 9/30 I called again looking for the estimate and appointment and the woman on the phone told me to hang tight because they'd get back to me ASAP, but they never did.
I wound up using John the Plumber instead and they were very responsive and kind. They came to my home within 2 days and I finally have hot water again!

Now I’ve never made a review on google but I just had to this time.
Now I’ve never used their services. So they might be the best at what they do.
But I can tell you, their drivers Are simply reckless and dangerous. Texting going down the highway swerving in and out of lanes doing 130-140 is ridiculous for a company car to do. I would not recommend anyone use this company as it would make them drive more which will one day end up killing someone.
Ridiculous.

My heat pump stopped working shortly before my two-year warranty was up. Optimum Mechanical came in to take a look, saw there was no more refrigerant, added more and replaced the valve caps, assuming they were the issue. A few months later, my heat pump stopped working again. They came in to look at it again, spent 5 minutes looking at it (for $200) without pulling it out, noticed there was no more refrigerant, and said it was probably a very small leak in the unit. They quoted me $1300+tax to take it out and pump it through with gas to find the leak. However, this time it wasn't under warranty

My heat stopped working last Friday night, during the -40 degree weather we've been getting. You know when they will have the part in and able to come to repair it? Next Friday...a full 2 weeks with no heat! Completely unacceptable. Not the first complaint I've seen like this. We would have then picked a different company, except that they charged us $600 just to start the work order (before we knew it would be 2 weeks).
